Hadeed Rug Plant

What an absolutely horrible experience my husband and I had dealing with this business! We took our rugs in to be cleaned and asked the manager at the Vienna store to call us with an estimate. No one ever called us yet they began service. Without getting clearance from us, they took the rugs to their Alexandria store and cleaned them. They even cleaned one of the rugs a second time without getting our approval. Then, they proceeded to deliver the rugs without clearing the date or time. We had no idea how much they were going to charge because they never gave us an estimate. We tried several times to speak with a manager and Joe Hadeed, himself, but kept getting the run around from the employees. "The manager was here but he left for the day. He will be in tomorrow." On a Wednesday call, the employee said "The manager had a family emergency and won't be back until Monday." On a Tuesday call, "The manager is out for the holiday and won't return until next week." So all of this was delay, delay, delay with never an offer for the manager to return our call to settle the matter. In the meantime, we get an outrageous bill with a delievery fee and LATE FEE added. We tried to call the next day and still got the run around. Finally, my husband to time off from work and drove to the Alexandria store to speak with someone in person. Of course, a manager was there but he was extremely rude and condescending to my husband. The manager spoke harshly to my husband and physically threatened him. My husband wanted to speak with Joe Hadeed himself and the manager said that "Mr. Hadeed would not take the time to come out and speak to you because it would be a waste of time." How extremely rude to speak this way to a customer! My husband explained that he only wanted what was fair and that he wasn't paying the amount of the extreme bill that Hadeed's sent us. My husband also told him that he was coming back the next day to speak to Joe Hadeed and pick up his rugs. In order to get the rugs that next day, my husband had to call the POLICE because the manager physically threatened him saying "if you come back here tomorrow, i'll have something waiting for your azz!" What an appauling and statement to say to a customer. My husband was extremely offended! With the POLICE present, Joe Hadeed finally faced my husband and agreed to a price that was reasonable. However, Joe Hadeed admitted that he's had complaints before about just taking customers' rugs and cleaning them without giving an estimate first and demanding payment for work that was never approved. Yet, he still maintains that offensive procedure as part of Hadeed's business practices. After 5 weeks of hassle, we were finally able to get our rugs back but this was an absolutely HORRIFIC experience. We will never ever use Joe Hadeed's for any type of business. They are extremely unprofessional, hostile and unfair to their customers. If you like that type of foul service, use them. If not, I recommend you never do business with them for anything!

They will do things that you never asked for, charge whatever they want, lie to you and hold your property hostage. Do not use these people!
