Overall
Not Recommended

My first impression was good when I met with Dr Silverman in regards to orthodontist care for my son. We had relocated (Military) and needed to find a new local Orthodontist and He came recommended from a coworker. The payment schedule was nice, the Dr was very personable and the place looked great and professional.

It wasn’t until our first actual appointment when I first raised an eyebrow. The Dr very quickly looked inside my son’s mouth, and told a technician what to do. The technicians worked alone while the Dr went about the other chairs to tell the other technicians what to do. This was a first for me; our previous orthodontist did all the work himself with assistance from the technician. When finished with my son, the technician took us upfront to set another appointment, rather than go over his treatment, care, concerns, or other costumer service related care. The next appointment was 2 months away, another surprise when we use to see the orthodontist once every 3 to 4 weeks.

This kind of treatment continued on, and it wasn’t until the day severe weather conditions led me to call and reschedule an appointment and was told 2 months later would be the next available that I realized this company did not care about the person, only how much they can cram into their schedules and profit off of them. When told the next available appoint was 2 months away, I canceled my cancelation and drove into town (I live in the east mountains) to make the appointment. Traffic was slow and I called to inform the office I could be running a little bit late. They told me that if I was more than 10 minutes late I would have to reschedule. I arrived 20 minutes late to my appointment and was told I had to reschedule. I requested to speak with a manager and explained my situation, and she carried on about how unfair it would be to the crew to work through their lunch. They offered me an appointment the next month, and then finally settled with an appointment 4 hours later. I told them I would wait in the building for a possible reschedule.

While waiting the entire crew left for lunch 20 minutes early heading to Denny’s for the free grand slam breakfast available the offered after the super bowl. ???

They saw my son after their hour and 20 minute lunch, and the same routine with the Dr looking in my son’s mouth, technician doing all the work alone, technician taking me upfront for an appointment for now 3 months down the road.

My problem was lack of concern for my time and the trouble I had making my scheduled time. They did not care to hear what I had to say, only acted put upon and disgruntled that I dare try to reschedule my appointment made months earlier due to poor weather conditions. Never made eye contact with me; still rings in my ears how the manager made me feel like I was being unfair and put upon the crew to “make them not get a lunch”. (Hope those eggs were good!)

Anyone know a good orthodontist? I’m tired of paying good money for crappy service. If I need to reschedule, then I want to reschedule and be seen within a few weeks. I want a n orthodontist to do the work, not relay to the technician who went to school for 9 months to complete the work.

Overall
Dont' go to Dr. Mitchell B. Silverman!!!‎

I had braces with Dr. Silverman. He caused over $10000 in damages to my teeth; he was very careless and sloppy when removing my braces. He did not fully correct my bite, and he did not align my teeth properly. I had to get Invisalign from another orthodontist after my ordeal with Dr. Silverman, to fix my bite. Dr. Silverman is a complete fraud! A one-star rating is too good for him. I would give him a negative rating if Yellowpages.com had the option. Do not trust your teeth to him. Do not put your children in his care! You will regret it.‎
