As part of a home sale inspection, a septic tank inspector Otto indicated the tank needed to be replaced. American Pumping (interestingly enough that's where Otto works) did the work. In the process of digging the hole with a backhoe they hit a 6 inch drain pipe designed to drain heavy rain water from coming into the house. Pictures from the previous owner show the crew standing in the hole with a 42 inch long tear in this pipe. No problem, accidents happen, except that they just buried it. Fortunately we had no flooding before this was discovered. Anyway, you might want to go with somebody else.
In 2006 I had bought a home in New Mexico. During that time Albuquerque Pumping did an inspection and said they had the state do the inspection also. Now I will jump to 2015 we sold this home. The home needs an inspection the other pumping company called the state to get the inspection number for 2006. There was none I called Albuquerque Pumping and was dismissed by whomever answered the phone and told me they didn't have paperwork that far back. But keep in mind I still had the paperwork. I got bugged and called the next day and asked for a manager. Sandra said she would look into it. I sent her the copy of the invoice and the inspection. She never got back to me I called and left a message. She responded with:
Yes maam, I am sorry I dropped the ball and I cannot believe that our company made that mistake. I am very very very sorry. I just spoke with the state, she is going through the 2006 registration book (thick book) to try to find that it hit their office. I have sent her the paperwork you sent me and she is talking to the Staff Manager. I am trying to find a check number and/or a copy of the check that they deposited for this transaction. Do not give up on us. We are working on fixing the problem. It may be that it just was not entered by the state when they received it. Keep your fingers crossed... Again never heard from her after this email.
So I responded:So that's it you charged for it didn't do the job right and you won't even do right by me and at least pay me for the inspection? Her last response to me was:I am trying to get to the bottom of this . I am sorry we do not keep records from 9 years ago. I am sorry that trying to get a check from 2006 is like pulling teeth. I am sorry that you are trying to sell your house and this has happened. Yes, I am sorry that I do not have an answer for you. I am not even convinced that we are the ones that messed up. At one point she said she couldn't believe they did this. What made me angry is they didn't even offer to at least do the job again and at least give me some kind of discount. I would not recommend these people to anyone. Why is it that I had the paperwork since 2006 and she doesn't even scan or save their work in the archives?
