These people are horrendous. I was in an argument with someone who called the ambulance and said I was going to hurt myself. I explained that it was not true and that I was not hurting myself or others. The report indicates that I was coherent and oriented. I refused transport and they insisted I go. They are now sending an outrageous bill and are trying to up the mileage. The ambulance report says 4.3 which matches my GPS. They bill says five miles. According to the tariff they have filed with the PRC says that they are even supposed to disregard the first mile

My 12 year old has kidney disease and 100% fully paid for state disability insurance via Calif. medi-cal....they refused to bill his insurance and are demanding us to pay them outside of our insurance. This is illegal and against the law...I have a legal background and if they dont fix it within the next 30 days, I will report them and cause them to loose there license. I got them on a 3 way call with our insurance company and our insurance company told them to send a bill and they will pay it. A.A.S has not sent a bill as of todays date (almost 2 years now). i am now going on every review website there is until AAS understnads they cannot prey on customers and break the law. As per the law, since my son is on lifetime disability for an incurable kidney disease and has full 100% coverage from the state of California, there NOT ALLOWED to receive money from me, they are required by law to bill my insurance I provided to them 5 times already.

High Pressure Salesman

This ambulance service arrived at my home after I contacted 911 for my choking son. While we were waiting, my son was able to dislodge the item and was breathing but was still experiencing some discomfort in his throat. The firemen arrived and did not know what to do as it was no longer an emergency situation. They observed him and took his vitals. Then the ambulance service arrived. The scenario was presented to them, they also took his vitals. We decided we would proceed with taking our son to the hospital due to the discomfort he was still having. The ambulance driver insisted my son be transported by ambulance - if you've ever used their services, you know their exorbitant costs can be upwards of $600. We explained we did not want to pay this cost because it was no longer an emergency and we would immediately transport our son in our private vehicle. Well obviously this driver gets some sort of commission because he acted like a high pressure salesman, belittling and degrading us in front of the firemen until we finally gave into his demands and allowed our son to be transported by him. Futhermore, the driver gave us the destination location but then changed it in route as we followed (they would not allow us to ride with our son). We had to speed through traffic to keep up because we now didn't know where our son was being transported to. Be aware if these guys show up at your house, calling 911 could end up causing you more harm than good.
