Mental Health America of Summit County is a network of professionals and volunteers who improve the community's understanding with respect to mental health issues. It is affiliated with National Mental Health America and educates people about the causes and treatments related to mental wellness and illnesses. The organization also publishes and distributes a directory of mental health services that provides information regarding services, support groups, crisis intervention centers and hotlines. Mental Health America of Summit County is located in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, and sponsors programs and workshops related to mental health issues annually. It also offers a suicide prevention program for middle, junior and senior high school students. The organization additionally features the Parent Education, Empowerment, Resources & Support project that educates and trains parents on the laws and services available for their children who suffer from emotional and mental health problems.
