We paid to lose all of our memories to RAT" S RAT'S, RATS.



We rented a unit at this location after having to move in with relatives for financial reasons. We returned often to the unit to look for some items. After about 3 months of not going to the unit I returned and found that the unit was infested with RATS. The rats had eaten through Rattan Furniture, boxes and bags. There was RAT feces all over everything. the boxes and furniture were stained with RAT Urine. When we complained to the office, at first they accused us of storing food, then they offered us RAT poison, I asked who wants to go in the storage and find DEAD RATS.



The office stated that since we signed a form that said they were not responsible for lost or stolen items or items damaged during the rental of the storage that they were not responsible. Since the document did not specifically state RATS, we were not prepared. But Really RATS, who would rent there if they knew that they would need to take precautions against RATS. WHO would rent there if they knew that up front?



If your items are lost, and you have the lock, you probably lost them, if your items are stolen, someone broke the lock and robbed you, or you forgot to lock it. If a storm comes and blows the whole establishment to bits then you got unlucky that your personal belongings went with everyone else’s. But when you take all of the precautions to keep your belongings safe from theft to the best of your ability by making sure you lock it, and buying a strong lock and you pay your bill on time every month, then the last thing you expect to have to takeprecautions against is damage by rodents. The office states that we have no recourse, that rats destroyed our belongings on their property. I do believe that if we would have known that this was a problem we would not have rented there.



The women in the office stated that she knew there was a RAT problem because Rats chewed some coils under her car and caused significant damage. When I told her about the Rats, she offered me Rat poison. So this company knew all along, something that we didn't. Why is there still no recourse?



WeE will have to replace our furniture, and all of our winter clothes but we cannot replace our memories
