Overall

My family has been to Physicians Immediate Med in Acworth many times, but today the receptionist, Dominique, screwed up! I knew before I went that we do not have to pay anything, but she would not take "no" for an answer. She wouldn't call my insurance company, but she did talk to my husband on my phone. She handed me back my phone and walked away while he was still talking to her. She gave me TONS of attitude after that, unprofessional!

I called the ins company, only to find out that we were right and she was wrong. I showed her my ins card...AGAIN...where it says that she should bill it to ins. She said, "hmm" and gave me my card back. No apology, NOTHING!!! We had been there 1 1/2 hours already and had not even been called back yet! THEN, when I went to their website to write this to their "feedback", it does not provide a way to do so!

Good Service

Physicians Immediate provided timely and very efficient service. They seem to also provide treatments that other medical establishments do not.

My review is like everyone else. It's just the attitude of everybody there. They act like they are above you and treat you badly and like your a bother to them. Just not very friendly. Maybe they get stressed from all the people they see and it wears on them. They may have medical training but they need customer service training badly. It's just like most doctors and nurses who don't treat you well and treat you like an idiot and a number but this one is worse. They do have a few good doctors though and they could rush a little faster to get you in. It was just me and one other guy and I still had to wait an hour. I thought that was a little ridiculous but they don't care. However, if you need a quick place to go and don't mind the attitude then it's fine.

Very disappointed in the lack of professionalism of especially one MA, who was unable to correctly give IV medication or trouble-shoot an IV problem, causing me to not get a dose of medication. I called the manager and she assured me she would confront the person and call me with results of any action. I never got a call so assume nothing was done or that I was not believed. No one wears a name tag with their name/title on it, which I actually thought was a federal mandate so people like this MA can not pass themselves off as RNs and pretend to be something they are not. For the most part, the MDs have been really good and thorough, except for one, who had an attitude I did not appreciate. The wait times are always very long, and the triage system is not very organized. They would speed up their times if they would triage everyone ASAP even if they had to go back to the waiting room for a little while. That way, the more severe patients would not be left to vomit in the waiting room, etc, and they could collect urine samples, rapid streps, etc, so that by the time the patient saw the MD, the results would be there which would speed things up for everyone. Especially after my bad experience with the MA's mishandling of my IV, I think it is a great mistake for them not to staff at least one RN who can oversee the MAs and handle the more critical and important matters, such as IVs, chest pain patients, etc. An MA absolutely has no business nor adequate training to be involved with more advanced nursing care issues.
