Abington Township Police Department

Awful experience with these animals. Officer "Townsend" was a negligent, hotheaded patrolman who has no respect for the younger crowd and made the experience with Abington Township a disaster beyond words. Although I was not intoxicated, his "team" of scared and moronic young patrolman handled an alleged DUI situation with no manners and decided to let off a lot of steam on someone undeserving. Pennsylvania state law is a joke, and whether or not you are intoxicated they can say you are based on blood work (forcefully). Blowing a .09 in the breathalyzer, blood results showed only about a .05 B.A.C., which is LEGAL. Having smoked pot days before the incident, T.H.C. came up in the blood results and I was forced to get a scroungy lawyer in order to settle a case in which I was not intoxicated, and the guy could do nothing about except get me in an "A.R.D." program, which is highly unnecessary. Any officer who confuses a cellphone after a pat down check with a gun needs to go back to school or stop working so late that they are going delusional. This was one of the worst experiences in my life and I do not plan on going to Pennsylvania again anytime soon. This department is disrespectful, rude, and I would not advise driving through the area. They want money, and that's the bottom line. They are not concerned as much about safety as they are fining people large amounts of cash. I would give zero stars in this review if I could... Shame on them.
