Court Jester Restaurant

I went there for lunch with two friends from NY hoping to show that there was a decent Japanese restaurant around... The price was not cheap comparing to those in the City; however, the quality was very disappointing! We had a Bento box thing for my 6-year-old boy that had some so-called Teriyaki chicken in it, but it was prepared in a sliced chicken style. We were not impressed because it looked like a Chinese take-out style chicken "gai-peen" (don't know if the spelling is correct, though).
I ordered a Sashimi Deluxe but some of the White Tuna had a yellowish-brown rim. My friends laughed & said "someone got some hybrid tuna, huh!". Most, if not all the fish esp. Salmon looked plain dull, no shine at all! I just couldn't eat them. I heard too many food poisoning cases due to improper food handling or stuff like that.
One of those two friends ordered a Chicken Teriyaki, it's just the way my son had in his Bento Box.
Last, the other friend ordered a Tempura, it was more of Tempura breading than anything else. Aside from the low-graded & overwhelming amount of breading, the shrimp was thin, she could hardly taste the shrimp. Very so disappointing!
Mahzu uses plastic cups for soda; that looks cheap. Although we tipped accordingly, the overall price was too high for our experience.

the food is terrible. I ordered steamed dumplings and they mix so much soy sauce in the meat that it is actually dark brown. the fried rice was dry.

they don't take credit or debit cards.

wouldn't go back if you paid me to. I threw out my dinner.

food is good -- the spicy food isn't real spicy, but generally tasty. only take cash.
