If you are looking for friendly service and someone to help you find your perfect dress for YOUR day, then this is NOT the place to go. I went to this store to look at wedding gowns and one of the sales reps was very nice and friendly. She was very helpful. However, the store owner was rude and pushy. She kept trying to get me to try on dresses I did not like and telling me that they were great dresses. She did not listen to what it was that I wanted. We finally found a dress, but it would need to be ordered and she wanted me to pay for it before I had even tried it on or even seen it in person! I ended up finding another dress elsewhere. The store owner called me and when I told her I found another dress she yelled at me over the phone! Yes, YELLED! She told me the dress I got was "a fake", whatever that means and acted like a child because I didn't purchase a gown from her. Overall, the experience was terrible. I would definitely not recommend this store to anyone in search of a wedding gown. (The one star, is only because you have to click a rating before you can submit your comment)
The 1 star awarded is for the beautiful product and gowns they have in this shop. As for the experience of buying my dress and having my bridesmaids purchase here as well was OMG a headache. it was amazing to see this type of decline in service over the course of a year.. The shop owner was incredibly rude to both the wedding party and myself. I literally had to warm my girls,to ignore this lady's rudeness and unprofessional ism . Not to mention I had to put up with it during a very stressful time because after all she did have my dress and didn't want her to ruin it out of retaliation, totally not joking ... I would sincerely say to brides. " go take a look find a pretty style and find another shop that has your dress so that you don't have to go through what I did. " This the biggest headache I had to deal with during my whole planning process every other vendor I worked with was great... Wish I would have read the reviews before buying my dress.
Make sure you get Paloma. Within one minute of talking to me, she easily sensed my style and vibe. She chose great dresses to try on and made sure each one looked stunning when I stepped out to show my friend. She has a talent for reading people and is so sweet and genuine at the same time. After looking at a few places, I really must say the shop itself was awesome. It's pretty inside, with a boutique feel, great lighting, windows, lots of full mirrors and places for trying on without crowding other brides. Often, I've seen shops with huge selections but with unattractive shops/warehouse feel or the flip side, stunning storefronts but limited selections or outrageous price points. This was worth a visit since you have the boutique feel inside, but with a nice selection and price. Paloma was kind, professional (she confirmed my appointment and was so professional, yet personal at all times during the fitting) and she made it an enjoyable experience. The only downside to this is that drinks are not allowed by the owner. So, no mimosas or champagne...unless you find the dress, then the owner may allow it. That said, Paloma's grace, charm and genuine interest in you looking great for your big day made up for any lack of beverages. I could go on and on about her. The dresses were gorgeous and at decent price ranges. We were impressed with the variety of designers and PALOMA!
My daughter and I bought her prom dress here. The dress is beautiful but I will never make a purchase there again because of the owner. She's appears to be nice at first but once she has your sale she really blows you off and is rude.
The owner here apparently doesn't want men to volunteer or work here. My husband was called from the owner herself to come in and talk with her about an externship. Now over the phone she was okay with him being a male and she also called his school and stated she would take him in. When we arrived there, she came up with some story stating that she asked her brides if they would feel comfortable with a male working there and they supposedly told her no. So in other words, she is willing to discriminate based on him being a male just to please some brides who may or may not even purchase from her in the future. She knew he was a male when she called him in to talk to him. Why would you call him down there if you already knew he was a male? According to her, she had a tuxedo shop upstairs that he was supposed to be working at to gain his experience. So why would you have to ask your "brides" who will only purchase a dress from you. If you are going to discriminate in that way, you should've just asked in the beginning what his race was because that would be the only reason why you would call someone down and tell their school you would have them do the externship if you already knew he was a male. It was truly clear as to why she all of a sudden had a change of heart. She could’ve went about it a more professional way by asking him some questions and then making up something by saying because of some of the answers she didn’t feel he would be a good fit for the company. No, she just bluntly stated that because he was a male, her “brides” wouldn’t feel comfortable with him working there. So do only females operate the tuxedo rentals too???????????
As soon as i walked in, the sales women gave me all her help and attention. She pulled 5 dresses for me to try on. She started with the one she thought i would love and of course it was the one meant for me. I fell in love with it. The owner Maria was very kind and friendly also. I would definitely recommend this place to all my friends and family. Great customer service from start to finish....
Maria is wonderful!!! i must have tired on 6 dresses before choosing one and tried that one on again after all the other dresses...she was helpful, funny, listened to me 'the bride' and was polite to my family that came with me and always redirected the attention back to me when family made suggestions on dresses they thought i should buy. Maria knows what she is doing, suggesting dresses i would never consider and that's how i found "the one" i love love love my dress!!!!! i went to 4 other places which lacked personality. she never pushed the sale on me, told me to take my time and discuss it with my family.
Love this boutique! Maria is a hoot and very helpful! I didn't feel pressured to buy or pushed into something I didn't want to try on. Maria has been doing this for a long time and will tell you if you don't look good in something or if you have to be more realistic about what size you wear. She helped me stay within my budget, which is something for all of us trying to get married on a budget. I highly recommend Destiny Bridal!
I had an amazing experience at Destiny Bridal. The owner was very personal and in tune to what I wanted as a bride. She was even flexible with allowing me to come to her shop after work. I am in love with my Maggie S. dress & would recommend Destiny Bridal and Maria to anybody!!!
This bridal boutique is the best in San Antonio. I ordered my wedding dress from here, and the owner was wonderful! She was very knowledgeable and an expertise within the wedding industry. I wanted a specialty dress from Maggie Sottero and Maria was very efficient and full of good advice. She also helped my bridesmaids which were all plus size. She made them feel good and comfortable about themselves and their unique dress. She even gave me relationship advice when I asked. Simply wonderful and beautiful. Her staff is also very knowledgeable and friendly. I recommend Destinhy Bridal to everyone who needs a dress for a special occassion, especially for the most important dress of your life. Thank you Destiny Bridal for making my dreams come true.
