  • Dream Vacation under the Trees at Hau Tree Lani

My husband and I were treated to this excellent restaurant for lunch during our recent visit to Honolulu. We loved sitting under the trees; the pink and white decor reminded me of our wedding (my colors) and doves flew about the indoor/outdoor setting. The (Waikiki) beach and sun and blue sky made the afternoon perfect for us--and we especially enjoyed lunch after hiking up Diamond Head that morning. I recommend the ribs--tender and covered with the most delicious honey sauce and Iced Tea with lemon and pineapple...a five star luncheon! The only thing missing were our friends...Allison and Andre...who were back home but treated us to lunch at he Hau Tree Lanai. Mahalo!!

  • Most romantic restaurant on the planet

This beachfront restaurant is located in a quiet area in Waikiki beach. Many locals go there to celebrate anniversaries. It is expensive but the service, ambience and gourmet cuisine are worth it. Try their fresh fish. "Chinese Style" steamed with ginger is a personal favorite.
