Deepak Patel, MD, FAAFP, FACSM, CIC specializes in family and sports medicine. Whether you need an annual check-up or advice on an injury that keeps you from playing your favorite sport or activity, Dr. Patel makes patients feel better tackling their health challenges on or off the field. Dr. Patel stays current on the latest research and advancements in Sports Medicine and Family Medicine. He has authored and served as an editor for may articles and textbooks. He also presents and teaches about sports medicine topics to other physicians and medical organizations at medical conferences around the country. Given his experience, he's been selected to chair multiple musculoskeletal and sports medicine conferences. With an expertise in concussion care, he offers testing and management in his offices in Aurora and Yorkville. In addition to editing and authoring a book on concussions, he is the concussion consultant for Plainfield, East Aurora, Plano, Sandwich, Illinois Math and Science Academy, Geneva, Newark, and Serena School Districts as well as Aurora Christian Schools.
