Beginning FrisbeeLearn the essential moves you and your dog will need to play and compete in Frisbee. Class will include motivational games to play as well as discuss the importance of proper form and safety. Dogs should be in good physical condition as the sport of Frisbee is very demanding on joints and muscles. If the instructor feels your dog is unable to do any the exercises, the instructor may modify the exercises to fit your dog's abilities. Sign up asap class size is limited to 8 dogs (6 weeks); Must have completed Basic Home Manners or the equivalent; Sign up today by calling 714/985-1555.
Fridays at 7pmClass will be taught by Jeff Hill multiple time World Championship finalist and 2009 Southern California Champion. Jeff has over 12 years of disc doggin' experience and 6 years of competitive disc dog experience. This is a very hands-on class to get you and your dog started off on the right paw!
Please noteJump Start Dog Sports classes may be added, changed or reduced as necessary to meet demand. Registering for a scheduled class can not guarantee the class will be held. Some classes require a prerequisite class. The Jump Start staff is always happy to answer any questions and keep you up to date.

General Requirements of All Classes
How to Enroll: Call Jump Start at 714-985-1555 or toll free 1-866-985-1555 Or come to Sit n Stay Clubhouse/Office 4631 Valley View. Yorba Linda, California 92886. Payment in full is required to ensure a reservation in class.
Dogs and Handlers must be in good health.
Each class requires that both the dogs and handlers be in good health.All dogs must be current on DHP, Parvo and Bordetella and proof of such must be on file at Jump Start. Jump Start Dog Sports does accept your veterinarian's recommendations and protocols regarding vaccines. Rabies certificates are required for dogs over four (4) months of age as required by law.
Puppy Awareness Workshops do not require Rabies, but do require other shots.
If owner gives own shots the manufacturer and date given must be provided.
Titers are accepted as proof of vaccines (except Rabies).
Females in heat MUST wear britches or pants to class.
Introduction to Family Pet TrainingPrerequisite and included in the price for all Family Pet classes. Recommended for all students new to Jump Start. Covers how dogs learn and exercises to create a partnership between you and your dog. Covers some behavior challenges. Call for next class start time; Ongoing; Instructor: Addy Lerner.
Puppy KindergartenFor puppies 8 weeks to 20 weeks; confidence building, owner education, playtime. Lots of discussion regarding bringing up puppies - and lots of playtime for the pups. Call for next class start time; Ongoing; Instructor: Debbie Perry.
Puppy Prep SchoolFor puppies 4 to 8 months (under 4 months see Puppy Kindergarten). Build a solid relationship thru play, obstacles, balance and coordination. Learn wait, leash respect and more. Call for next class start time; Ongoing; Instructor: Debbie Perry.
Basic Home MannersFor dogs 5 1/2 months and older. Basic home manners including sit, down, wait, loose leash walking and come. Dogs younger than six months should seriously consider Puppy Kindergarten or Puppy Prep School before attending Basic Home Manners. Call for next class start time; Ongoing; Instructor: Judy Peterson.
Home Manners IIContinue working on the basics. Work with more distractions on improving your site, down, wait, loose leash walking and come. Begin preparation for Canine Good Citizen. Call for next class start time; Ongoing; Instructor: Judy Peterson.
Fun 4 FidoContinue to build your working relationship with games, tricks, playtime and more. May be repeated as often as you like. A good class to keep up good manners and use up some energy. Call for next class start time; Ongoing; Instructor: Judy Peterson.
Canine Good Citizen Test PrepThis class will help get you and your dog ready to take the CGC. Practice all 10 of the CGC test elements. Call for next class start time; Ongoing; Instructor: Dan Malinowski.
ObedienceWork on advanced Obedience and handling skills. Call for next class start time; Ongoing; Instructor: Vicki Chaney.
Novice ObedienceUpon completion of Home Manners II or with instructor approval, students begin to learn the rules and what is required in AKC Obedience competition. Call for next class start time; Ongoing; Instructor: Vicki Chaney.
Novice Breed HandlingThere is more to showing a dog in the breed ring than you might imagine. Learn about "stacking", "baiting", "gaiting", AND how to dress properly for the ring.
