Wow! Great place to shop

I moved to shrewsbury about six months ago. shortly after I moved in percy's sent me a letter welcoming me to the area and included a $50 gift card. I went to the store and bought ipod dock for about $60. I gave them the gift card and paid the difference of about $10. what a smart idea! No gimmicks and no catch.

I've since been back and purchased a new flat panel tv. You've got my business!

We recently had a new refrigerator installed by two men, Jim and Dave, who did an especially excellent job. They were prompt, courteous, professional, friendly and most of all, very competent. The old fridge was removed and the new one installed and all mess cleaned up in just a couple of hours. They were fantastic and earned my highest praise for a job well done!

Yesterday afternoon our chest freezer ceased to run. We had been operating it with a small gas generator since we lost our power five days ago due to the storm. The freezer was full of our home raised meats and we feared losing them. I called Alan Lavine at Percy's and explained our situation. He said if I came in in the next few hours and chose something he could expedite delivery for the following day. When I arrived at the store I explained my situation to the salesman who greeted me. Jeremy N. was sympathetic, knowledgeable and efficient. Once I made my selection, he talked to Mr. Lavine who made a few calls and arranged delivery for last evening. The sales associates, counter help - all friendly and efficient. Within a few hours we had a beautiful new freezer delivered, set up and running. The delivery person - Todd - and his assistant whose name escapes me ( I am sorry!) were cheerful, extremely careful and efficient. They even removed my old freezer! Truly great experience!

Poor Customer Service

I have been a customer of Percy's in Worcester, Ma. since O'Coins closed. We have purchased 2 large screen televisions, front load washer and dryers, stoves, dishwashers and gas grills from them. I own my own business and refer many customers to businesses that I feel give good quality service. To say the least I was very disappointed when I purchased a stove and dishwasher from Percy's after Thanksgiving when they were having a great sale. The appliances were delivered and when I had my own appliance serviceman install them we noticed that the dishwasher had a small hole in the drum. While the dishwasher was being installed they noticed that the plate under the counter had been dented on two corners. I told them that as long as it wasn't going to show when it was done, just install it. I was not going to call and make a fuss over that. Anyone else would have. As soon as it was done and they took the warranty papers out of the inside they noticed the hole. It was small but obviously the dishwasher had been dropped or damaged prior to it getting to my house. I immediately called Percy's. The customer service person told me that "We don't have to do anything for you mam". I couldn't believe it. She insinuated that we had dropped it here and that "It would never have left our warehouse like that". Well, it did, or it got damaged in route. All I know is that it didn't happen here. It was only slid into place here. I purchased a 5 year extended warranty along with the stove and dishwasher. After many calls and unbelievable horrible customer service, they delivered another dishwasher. I had to pay for the uninstall and another installation on my own. Percy's did send, Paul, out to check out the damage. He was excellent. I know he didn't believe it happened here. Even the guys that brought both sets of appliances told me that no one would have seen that hole when it was delivered. To say the least, I am very disappointed with Percy's and will never purchase anything from them again. I will also tell everyone I know about my experience and am quite sure they will lose thousands of dollars of future sales.
