The reviews indicate very good doctors but not staff. I read these reviews first and decided to call for eye exam but the male I spoke with was curt and impatient. Maybe a bad phone connection but seemed more like background noise there. He wasn't speaking clearly and I asked him to repeat himself. He raised his voice and wasn't helpful just to make an appointment. Then he told me to call back instead of taking my number and calling me back.

I won't be looking to Bello for an exam. I haven't even been there and got poor service. Tsk, tsk.

Thank you Nick Bello for the wonderful experience I had at you business. I have been to other Opticians for glasses & they were terrible and did not take the time to explain, they put me in the wrong frames that did not even fit my face.

I love my new glasses you did, I can see so much better, also thanks for cleaning & adjusting the old ones, you went above & beyond, and Heidi was so helpful, I will definitely recommend you to everyone, thanks again.

I have had the best service at Bello Opticians for 20 years, Dr. Giovannucci is the best ever, he is so busy taking emergencies and so booked that sometime there is a wait, I've been there when his patients come walking in with major emergencies and they fit everone in, It is worth the wait, they have the best eyewear and will accomodate in any way, thanks guys

There is a reason Bello Opticians has poor reviews on Google, City Search, and Yelp plus many others review sites. They do not have a customer concept.

Absolute worst experience I have ever had. Went for eye exam - nice guy, seems caring, but was an hour late getting in that day.... hmmmm. said he had not slept well.

Went to shop for glasses, have a great eye plan from work. I am called "hon" from the owners son, who looks and acts stoned - they are all talking back and forth about the Madonna concert and how much it cost them to go.... excuse me, I'm right here.... stop talking to each other and show me glasses.

The kid working with me is critical of every choice I make.... finally, he advised me to come back when they have new choices from a show they went to. When I return I am assisted by the owner - again- the shop is like a circus... no real connection with me. He starts going through the store and gathering random glasses. Critical of my choice... I'm too old for some glasses apparently.

He goes over my package for the Lafont Glasses I chose - lenses, frames - tries to upsale me to way more than I need for no real reason. Add-ons, I select transitional lenses.

Time to pick up glasses - I say to young kid, is the optomitrist available... "No he's with a patient", Why?" I reply "I just wanted to thank him for the thorough exam and follow up with the headache question he had." He then tells me to go on in his office - the guy has no patient, he is just sitting there... lied to, really?

When I realize my lenses are NOT transitional - I call, the owner says "Oh that's okay, we never charged you for them, If you want that, just come in and pay and we'll add them." The total price for my glasses was over 1000.00 - I paid 400.00 out of pocket expecting all the features we spoke about. Now it will cost MORE to have the glasses he told me I would get? He keeps citing that it is human error... I bet if I had dropped and stepped on a pair of frames in that store I would not be able to excuse myself with "human error" as my excuse - I would have been charged for them. He is so condescending and belittling on the phone I am now fuming mad. If he told me for this amount you will get these frames, these lenses, and tansitional lenses, that is what I should be wearing. If he made an error in getting it all down, it's would be up to the shop to absorb that cost.

This ended up feeling like a SCAM place. The owner asked me if I could see with my new glasses, and If I liked the frames, I said yes. So I guess that he is happy with a customer that is only 50 percent happy, I was not happy with the missing transitional lenses or service. I have already gotten loads of compliments on the glasses, but each time I tell my BELLO NIGHTMARE STORY where I work only 2 miles from their front door, and am face to face with over 100 people daily... and I will the entire time I wear them and beyond. HON.

I bought a backup pair of eyeglasses from them to keep in my car . MAJOR PROBLEM... the progressive lenses were different from the prescription. I didn't realize until I forgot my primary eyeglass and had to use my backup pair a few months later. I've never gone back to them since it was months before I realized there was a problem.

We are going to Bello for our eye care needs, for more than 3 years now- always great customer service, great advice as to which pair is good for us, keeping our budget in mind as well. Many times we had to just drop by with my son's eyeglasses that needed yet another adjustment- Nick is always helpful, and always fixes the problem on the spot. Great location as well, helpful and knowledgeable staff.

Outstanding Customer Service! This is team of true talented professionals who go out of their way to give each customer the best in style, optical perfection and service. There are not many businesses today that give so much personal attention I have been a very high maintenance customer, who had a series of accidents with my glasses. The dedicated staff dealt with my insurance and helped with adjustments.

They couldn't have been nicer and I'm grateful.

I have bought three pairs of very expensive glasses as well as contact lenses over the past few years from Bello's. I have noticed their service getting worse over the

years. they used to be very friendly and willing to fix minor problems with the glassess well as provide free cleaning and maintenance. Recently, after visiting i was made to feel bad after asking for glasses maintenance.the owner was rude and very unwelcoming almost hinting that i needed to buy a pair of glasses instead. well, i walked out of there never to walk in again. the place has a lot of potential but it seems it is currently being dragged down by pure greed.
