Hickory Flat Dental

I would not even give them a star. I did not believe all of the reviews about them being a classic scam. But they tried to upsell to a more expensive cleaning that would cost me above my insurance. I put my foot down and they refused to give me a cleaning. A complete waste of my time. It was the worst dental experience in my 40 years. Please please take this from me and go to another dentist. This is an actual customer with an actual true story.

I had a very bad experience with this dentist. On the first visit, the dentist didn't have time to check my teeth. I had to come back to get my teeth checked. The hyginiest charged my bill up with a special deep cleaning. I heard her do the same speech to other customers. The dentist I used to go to in TN never told me I had bad gums. Then, they told me I needed a new crown. Once I paid for it upfront, they put a temporary crown. My tooth was still hurting. When I went again to get my permanent crown, they told me they will not seal it with permanent sealer in case they need to work on it again. The permanent crown didn't fit right. I could not bite anymore and the crown fell off 2 days after they put it in place. When I called them to get an appointment to get them to fix it, they told me to come right away. I work and I could not leave my work right away. So they scheduled an appointment 3 weeks later and told me to put fixadent to hold my crown in place!!!

Once I came back to get my permanent crown, it didn't fit anymore and we had to start all over again. I kept telling the dentist my tooth hurt. After going thru 2 more appointments to get a temporary and permanent crow on, I am still in pain. They never listened about the pain. When they put the permanent seal on, the dentist told me it was going to hurt even more. It did! It's been a few weeks now, and I cannot eat on my tooth because oft he pain and each time I try to drink a cold drink after hot food, it hurts. I don't think I will ever come back to this place. They don't care about their customer.

From the moment I walked into the office I was greeted with a smile. The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. I had many questions, and they were all answered confidently. Once in the back, with the hygienist, I was explained the importance of keeping my gums healthy. I will recommend this office to everyone I know. Dr. Lee, Leah, and the staff were great! Thank you Hickory Flat.

The best ever!!! My family and I have had various procedures with Hickory Flat Dental and have had no issues with pain or money, but more importantly, respect. I have always hated the condition of my teeth because of my own negligence and finances, but Dr Lee made me feel very comfortable and had no tone of judgement at all. They have a very happy environment and despite how busy they are, I have never felt like just a number. Finally, my kids love going to the dentist now, which I am very thankful for. It was a priority for us to have our kids grow up liking the dentist so that they don't have the problems that I have had to deal with.

i just had a root canal and i felt no pain during the sugery, Dr. Mog. was my dentist and he did an awsome job i would and have been recomending this place to all my friends and family.

Went for initial visit - hygenist was not friendly nor gentle with my teeth/gums (and yes, I'll admit I am a big baby). I was then upsold on a bunch on 'extra' services. Walked out $125 poorer plus got an angry reaction from my wife to the additional costs.



They scheduled a follow-up appointment for follow-on extra services - which would have cost me more (though the receptionist could not tell me how much). As a result, I cancelled and won't be going back. Sadly, I was also told I had a cavity but no follow-up appointment was scheduled for this - what's more important here? Extra services or filling my cavities?



Their service could have been improved by scheduling a follow-on appointment with the dentist (without the stigma of any 'work' being done) - to discuss findings and to work with me in developing a treatment plan and sharing the costs in advance. I might even have had an opportunity to change my benefits at work to align more closely with the treatment options recommended.

I am terrified of dentist and this office not only calms me down, but I always feel safe and leave feeling like I like them. They are kind, funny, patient, and very caring. I do not mind going to this office at all. The office staff goes beyond regular service to help the patients with insurance questions. This is the place to go for all your dental needs. They truly want the best for your teeth.

If you want to leave with a large bill with things you don't need then this is your place!! They will try to take you for everything you are worth. Horrible experience, we will never go back.
