ImmunizationsMany members of our community are world travelers for business or pleasure. Most are not fully aware of the potential pitfalls of injury or illness overseas. Our expertise in the area of Travel Medicine will minimize those risks for you and immunizations, membership in the Executive Registry and/or the International SOS assistance / repatriation program will be coordinated as necessary.

Using counseling, education, coaching, or even a personalized supermarket tour, our Nutrition consultant will help you on your way to a more energetic, healthy, lifestyle.
Nutritional CounselingThe previous decade has finally seen advances in the visibility and understanding of issues relating to women’s health. The Village Doctor looks forward to leveraging this increased scientific knowledge with one-on-one attention to optimize the health of the women in our practice. Osteoporosis prevention, personalized hormone balancing, and gender specific exercise and nutritional counseling will also be available.
Pediatric CareA California native, Dr. Burgos obtained her BA in Human Biology from Stanford University, her MD from the University of California, San Diego and an MPH from the University of California, Berkeley. Her Master of Public Health degree emphasized maternal and child health specifically the areas of nutrition, breastfeeding, health economics and international health. Dr. Burgos completed her Pediatric Residency at Packard Children’s and during 1999-2000 she was the Chief Resident of Pediatrics. During residency, she also provided bilingual asthma education to patients. In addition, she has authored a short children’s book for young patients newly diagnosed with Type I Diabetes.
Primary CareAs a Village Doctor member, most of your primary care medical expenses will be covered, so having a higher insurance deductible may be to your advantage. Exceptions are specialty visits, hospitalization, laboratory services that cannot be performed by The Village Doctor, and x-ray fees.. Remember that you may visit The Village Doctor as often as you like and you will never be charged a co-payment!

Emergency CareShould you or a member of your family need to go to the Emergency Department, your ED visit will be coordinated by members of The Village Doctor team – if possible your physician will meet you in the Emergency Department to facilitate a timely and quality ED experience.
Infectious DiseasesDr. Weiss joined the faculty at Stanford University in 1991 and holds positions in both Emergency Medicine and Infectious Diseases. In addition to founding the Stanford Travel Medicine Service, he developed and taught the first formal course on Travel Medicine at a United States medical school and currently lectures and consults internationally on emergency medicine, travel and tropical medicine topics. While at Stanford, Dr. Weiss was Medical Director for Stanford Life Flight as well as Emergency Medical Services for Stanford Hospital. Closer to home, he is the Medical Director for the Woodside Fire Department and is leading efforts to build a local Medical Reserve Corp to better serve our community.
ElectrocardiogramBy using mobile medical kits and a state of the art electronic medical record, including electrocardiogram capture and interpretation, The Village Doctor physicians can bring the clinic to you.
Carpal Tunnel SyndromeShe is a graduate of Swarthmore College and holds a BA in psychology. Dr. Sangani received her MD from the University of Rochester in 1997 and completed her Internal Medicine Residency at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco. After her Internal Medicine training, Dr. Sangani went on to obtain a Master’s in Public Health from the University of California, Berkeley and subsequently completed a Preventive Medicine Residency at UCSF. While at Berkeley, she concentrated on Epidemiology and worked at the San Francisco County Health Department. She was a leader in disease outbreak investigations and served on the San Francisco Bio-Terrorism Working Group. Disease education has also been a long time interest of Dr. Sangani and she developed numerous health education programs on topics including diabetes, heart disease, obesity, cholesterol and carpal tunnel syndrome.
Internal MedicineDr. Miller was formally recognized by Stanford for her “clinical judgment, leadership, teaching and kindness” with the Julian Wolfsohn award on graduation. At Stanford's Internal Medicine Clinic, Jennifer had a special focus on geriatric vibrancy, and optimal health at all ages. Jennifer's clinical interests continue to lie in integrative medicine and promotion of health as equal to the prevention and treatment of illness. She has served as an advisor to innovative medical companies and has access to many cutting-edge medical technologies. Dr. Miller has an enthusiasm for yoga, meditation, frozen yogurt, hiking, teaching, red wine with friends, and quality time with patients.
Sports MedicineAcupuncture has been effectively used for the treatment of back pain, headache, migraine, and sports injuries. However, acupuncture provides more than pain relief. It is helpful in treating anxiety, insomnia, digestive problems, abdominal, menstrual cramps, weight control, infertility and much, much more.
Physical TherapyComparable to Yoga and Pilates, though distinctly different, the Contour Method is a proprietary fitness program designed to create a uniquely lean, firm, sculpted body. It combines the muscle-shaping principles of isometrics, the body-elongating practice of dance conditioning, the science of physical therapy and the intense pace of interval training into a low-impact powerful exercise that quickly and safely contours the entire body. Mental HealthDr. Sangani is a Board Certified Internist who comes to The Village Doctor after five years of thriving private practice in the Pacific Heights area of San Francisco. Her health care philosophy integrates physical, social, and mental health and she strives to provide individualized care for her patients’ unique lifestyles. Dr. Sangani has a strong background in preventive medicine and promoting wellness and education among her patients. In addition, she has extensive experience in women’s health and chronic disease management. Because Dr. Sangani is dedicated to providing high quality care, she enjoys spending time with her patients and takes an active interest in their lives and their concerns.
