Cooks Flea Market

I see people here mentioning that Cooks banned smoking, but what difference does that make if they don't enforce it? This place has been here along time and the old timer visitors smoke up plenty, and since the management has the A/C set so high (saving money, I guess) it's still smokey, and warm there. I didn't like it, it's a very trashy atmosphere, which wouldn't be bad if there were some deals to be found, but there aren't. Cooks is loaded with vendors who sell low-quality new merchandise at full retail prices. And, like an earlier reviewer said, you can tell this place has favored sellers probably family members, some of those vendors booths are made to look like full retail stores, and all they're selling is phone face plates that you can get from china for 50 cents each, and they're selling them for less than 3 dollars they'd have to sell hundreds every weekend just to pay the rent on their multi spaced booths, let alone make a profit and lo and behold there is not competition anywhere near them, which of course drives up prices. I don't mind Mexican's but I'd at least like to be able to speak English when I'm trying to buy something, or bargaining. Overall Cooks is like a ghetto in Mexico City one of those street bazaars they have down there. I love flea markets but this place was too much like a trip to the hood and I'm not from the hood so needless to say I won't be going back.

I recently put a "clear tower" desktop on layaway, and found a better deal with a back to school sale at a nearby department store. The "clear tower" did not have word, but another word processing program that I was not familiar with. I wanted to receive my money back, and they initially refused to where I had to contact security. Security threatened to contact the deputy. This was not Wal-Mart, and the store looks anything but professional. I think they wanted my money for something else. The computers looked horrible. They also did not let me test it, in fact told me they were not trying to "get me". Its the computer "store" with the old fashioned Star Trek Enterprise sitting among dusty PC's.

I was today in Cooks after a couple of years out of the city and I found that now they are not allowing to smoke inside the building at any time.... Great! now I can bring my kids again to browse with no rush because the smoke.

I was searching for my favorite perfume and I found it at bargain price at Fashion Perfumes.

I recommended it, is a good place to visit again and again.

Let me start by saying to all the people that have issues with cigarette smoke and health issues and second hand smoke. I am here to say one thing. I can not even go to the store anymore because of perfume odors. Sick of people complaining about smoke. All of you that bath in perfume must be trying to hide odors that smell worse than cigarettes. I have gotten sick and thrown up right in the store because of the smells. That entire day is spent in the bathroom being sick. This is a medical issue that CAN NOT be treated. Like all products, they are made and sold. How many people are killed by drunk drivers ? But you most of you buy it and it is called social drinking. Have a glass of wine at dinner or cocktail ? If you don't like what you smell stay home and shop on line like I have to do because of illness !!! Get a life and stop putting it all on smoke. Get a life in your own home ! I shop on line because of all the smells, so can you !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
