        Established in 1953, NYCO is a producer of the industrial mineral called wollastonite. The company also markets the mineral tripoli, through The American Tripoli Company. NYCO offers a variety of products for use in ceramic, construction, friction, metallurgical, plastic, and paint and coating applications. Its adhesive and sealant products include NYAD G, NYAD MG, NYAD 325, NYAD M1250, M400 Wollastocoat, 10 Wollastocoat and NYGLOS 4W. The company provides wollastonite for use in many ceramic applications, including structural clay products, whitewares and advanced ceramics. Its wollastonite products are suited to ceramic applications where shrinkage reduction, increased firing strength, gloss improvement and reduced surface defects in glazes is required. NYCO's products are also used in a variety of interior and exterior construction applications, such as concrete, mortar, stucco, caulking, grouts, exterior insulation finishing systems, recycled plastic railroad ties, and wood composites and decking.
