Library IV

I took my father out for Fathers Day and my son went as well. My son asked for a sirloin steak and we were asking how big x amount of ounces were. The chef pulled out a steak and my son got a 22oz steak. My father got steak tips and I got chicken with mushrooms. My meal and my fathers were terrible. My sons steak was very good. When I got the bill they had sold us a NY Strip steak for $50.00. The waitress was horrible as well until she got her tip. Then she was VERY friendly. Will NEVER go back!!

Today was my first time experiencing the dining at library iv. I have been wanting to go here for the longest time. My husband decides to surprise me with the Mother's Day brunch. My husband had made RSVP for 12:45pm and we along with our two children showed up at 12:30pm . We were told we had to wait. We waited 25 minutes and witnessed not 1 but two parties that did not have RSVP be seated before us. After the 2nd party was seated my husband mentioned something to the host only for her to say the family was with another party (which was a lie bc we could see where they were seated and it wasn't with a group). Finally a table miraculously opened up. As we were led to our table I observed two additional sets if tables empty and cleaned ready for seating (odd). When we sat we realized our table was broken/uneven. When it was time to order they mentioned they ran out of apple juice, never offered drink menu or drink specials etc. There was no menu given to us to describe what foods were part of the buffet brunch (and clearly it was too much to ask of the restaurant to have place cards identifying each thing as well). Needless to say $80 later for what I call a mediocre continental brunch, horrible waiting service, the original host coming back to our table admitting they skipped our name twice as an oversight and offered only her apology, we were less than impressed. I would like to believe the fact we were an interracial couple, both of minority background, had nothing to do with the poor service but I can't say. Because if it did, that would be awful but if it didn't, it'd still be awful that such a well known restaurant could be so displeasing.
