        Indoor Sky is a privately owned business located in Williamsport, PA. Centered around a one-of-a-kind light shelf design, Indoor Sky works with schools, hospitals and businesses to maximize their daylight potential while minimizing the negative side effects of direct sunlight. All too often schools and businesses are forced to close off their beautiful windows due to heat and glare caused by direct sunlight. Conventional shades and blinds have worked to stem this problem, but they often have an all or nothing effect - sun with glare and heat, or no sun at all. This is where our Dayliter Shade with it's light shelf and integral rollershade stands out from the crowd. The fully operable light shelf and rollershade system is positioned about 16 inches down from the top of the window - depending on the size of the light shelf. From here, the light shelf in it's open position (parallel with the floor/ceiling) reflects natural daylight deep into the room, while the roller blind blocks the direct heat and glare from affecting occupants in close proximity to the window. The light shelf can also be rotated up 90 degrees to block direct sunlight and/or darken the room when needed. Proper daylighting can cut lighting energy use by up to 75 - 80 percent, while improving the occupants overall state of health and well-being.
