Abbeywood Cat Hospital

I strongly recommend The Cat Hospital with Dr. Barkley and his staff. Without them I would have lost both of my beloved cats. Two separate emergencies last Fall with each cat being brought to the hospital in serious shape. Even though things were touch and go for a few days; with the outstanding care given by the Doc and staff they both survived. Communication was excellent and everyone's genuine concern helped get us through each emotionally difficult situation. Each cat recovered and both are now living happily in our new home in Washington state. Oh, how I miss everyone at the Cat Hospital. It will be very difficult to find a replacement vet that can live up to this level of care. Karen F

The Cat Hospital of Westmont's Dr Barklay is a mean, rough and condescending man and a very poor vet. I will NEVER go back there & I advise you to stay away. His bad Karma has me writing this - If he were kind and a smart vet I would be writing that, but he's not.

This man may have his credentials, but compassion- he lacks. My kitten was dying and I took her there to be put down. I was not prepared to watch her suffer, and she clearly as suffering. He was extremely rough with her and his tone of voice was not friendly. He seems like he hates his job. He told me to put her down was not humane, however there's nothing he could do for her. He sent me home with her, and she bled to death, and suffered terribly. My bill was 62 dollars. He charged me for an exam and did nothing. 62$ for him to tell he she might not make it, something I already knew. My aunt had called him asking why he said is was not humane, and he attacked her, telling her she is not allowed in his vet (She never once went there), before she had a chance to say anything more, he hung up on her. After wrapping up my dead kitten in a towel, I got a phone call from him. "I just got off a terrible phone call with you aunt and was extremely abused." I told him kindly that I do not know w

I really enjoy taking my cats to Abbeywood since they are scared of dogs and here you do not need to worry about that. The staff is great and always helpful. When one of my cats had a problem with her paw they got us in that day and took care of the problem. I can't say enough good things about this place!
