- The smartest place to bank isn’t a bank. It’s Bellco. Bellco is a progressive, member-owned credit union with a full range of financial services. Bellco Credit Union has strong Colorado roots and is committed to the Westminster community. Visit your Westminster branch to find a full range of financial services from checking accounts and credit cards to loans and investment. You'll experience the world-class customer service that keeps almost 200,000 members coming back to Bellco. Bellco is different. While banks focus on their shareholders and their stock value, Bellco exists to serve our members, not ourselves. Which means we charge you less and give you more. Unlike a for-profit bank, we return our profits to our members in the form of lower rates on loans, higher interest on deposits, and better services. And you’ll like knowing you’re doing business with one of the largest credit unions in Colorado. Founded in 1936, Bellco has over 194,000 members and over $2 billion in assets. We actively support the community, donating funds and employee volunteer hours to many health and family-related causes

Provided by DexKnowsCar t-boned and totaled. 3 x's we've sent info and paperwork that final payments would be completed at insurance settlement ... because the insurance is covering it. They are going to collections anyway!

Provided by DexKnowsTerrible customer service. Left a message for Maggie bank manager to contact me about some concerns with my account. Never got that return call. Very irritant as a bank.

Provided by DexKnowsAfter having been with Citadel FCU for 30 years, and having them handle all my finances very satisfactory. I joined Bellco 3 years ago when I moved to Colorado, and I was extremely satisfied till I obtained a VISA card a few months ago. First I tried using it at the local Bellco ATM, and it worked fine, I thought. At the ATM I requested the money to be withdrawn from my checking account, which I thought it did. However when I received my Visa statement, I found out , it was added to my Visa account along with a $10 fee for each transfer. To my dismay I also found out there was no grace period on the account. Needless to say I stopped using the Visa for anything, and will be cancelling it. If only they were like my old Citadel FCU.

Provided by DexKnowsI have dealt with Bellco for over 33 years. They helped to finance my home, car, and miscellaneous loans. They have been extremely helpful in each and every endeavor. They have made banking very easy, and I highly recommend them without reserve. As for the negative reviews, I don't understand them (besides those which are so poorly written in the first place!).

Provided by DexKnowsSomething tells me that a bitter politician and/or his friends posted these bad reviews as Bellco is known for its great customer service. It's a shame that people with a bone to pick do it on review sites to try and give a business a bad name. Get over it!

Provided by DexKnowsHorrible Service....have consistantly made payments on my loan via wire transfer from my regular bank, Bellco somehow has not posted half of these to my loan account or if they have its been for a ridiculous amount such as $13.00. Now I have to waste my time and my regular banks time by providing the wire transfer receipts to prove payment.

Provided by DexKnowsThe service I have received at Bellco has always been good. However, since seeing that Bellco donated $50,000.00 to a 527 political group named Voices of Main Street and that this group sent horrible negative post cards about the State Representative in House District 38 I will be moving my funds.

Provided by DexKnowsI have never had so much trouble with a lending company in my life! These people have no pride in what they do or how they do it. They put you on hold forever, the fax doesn't answer in a reasonable time, you can't pay off a loan at anyplace that collects payments for them, in general they are terrible at what they do. I wonder how much money the lose each year for the people that invest. This is just my opinion but a lot of others feel the same. I would NOT have anything to do with them if I were looking for a credit union. Several long distance calls and still trying to get my problems resolved, I'm old, hope I live long enough to get things done!!

Provided by DexKnowsI do not recall being a customer of an organization that talks so much about their high service levels but fails to to achieve anything even close to good service. Complaints go nowhere. They simply defend their current ways of working and are unable to look into a better wayI have Bellco Credit Union has MUCH lower service standards than the big banks. I wish i would have thought twice before moving my money to Bellco. They pride them selves on being a local bank but they are even more unresponsive and apathetic than big banks.

Provided by DexKnowsI have found bellco consistently falling very short of their claims

Provided by DexKnowsI have banked with many banks and without question bellco rates as the worst. Not only is the service horrible (long lines, inaccurate information, lack of returned phone calls and a general low quality of thinking) but when you speak to them about the problems they are NOT interested in hearing a customer perspective. Instead they dominate the conversation with excused, discounting the customer perspective, and trying to convenience you that the service is acceptable. Recently a friend was in their drive-thru with one car in front of her. It was 10 minutes before the other car was finished and another 15 to complete a simple deposit. The only reason I bank there is its location in relation to my home. Otherwise I would probably just bury my money in a coffee can. I met a business professional that had spoken with bellco’s executives about the ongoing problems and their response was embarrassing --- arrogance and no responsibility for the problems. They pride themselv

Provided by DexKnows1/4/10Been on hold off and on for the past 2+ hours.Very disappointed in Bellco. I'm going to be forced to go to a branch rather than being able speak with someone.

Provided by DexKnowsMy experience with BCU was far from enjoyable to characteristic of good service. problems happen but it is how the problems are handled that matter.Bellco failed miserable

Provided by DexKnowsI have the same experience as above and would characterize Bellco as arrogant. They think they are doing consumers a favor by allowing them to bank there? They brag about being in business 17 years and put themselves on a proud pedestal (as if on some moral high ground) because they are +member owned+? This is only good PR. After continued problems they spoke in a condescending way saying I +had to trust+ them that these problems do not happen and they do provide good service. I found it arrogant that they were oblivious to the idea that they needed to earn trust. Instead they thought it just should be granted to them? ######As difficult as it can be to bank with a large bank I would much prefer that to the one-sided relationship bellco wants with their account holders. I would say that it is because of business like bellco that organizations, executives and managers have such a bad reputation with the general public --- are all PR, platitudes and self service.

Provided by DexKnowsGood experience as far as our auto loan, but the start was rocky, I could have used more information on loan payments and due dates.

Provided by DexKnowsI've banked with Bellco for years. Customer service has always been great. They act like they appreciate my business: instead of trying to gouge me with fees, they reward me based on how much money I have on deposit.
