Shannon was great to deal with! We had a brand new loaded minivan. I would recommend Sixt as we were really happy.

I reserved a mid-size SUV on AirpotRentalCars.com with this company "Sixt rent a car" on 7/8/2014 for $180/week, I have received my reservation confirmation and also noticed a charge of $154 on my credit card soon after. The company called me on 7/9/2014 morning, told me there was a mistake on the quote online, and asked me to cancel my reservation, I told them that is not a mistake I made, I have the confirmation and they should honor the price I signed up for, instead of doing so, they told me that "in that case we cannot guarantee you'll have a vehicle on the pick-up day", I told him I have paid for this, and they better make sure the car is there when I go pick it up, he said I haven't pay yet (Don't understand what that $154 charge is for on my credit card then). And I told him I have the reservation confirmation, he replied "it's just a reservation, it doesn't mean anything". I argued with the agent on the phone for about 5 minutes about the situation, I told him this is not the way to run a business, they can't have people making reservations, charge on their credit card, and then tell them they can't guarantee to deliver the good/service the customers have ordered! He insists that there's nothing they can do, then hung up the phone. According to another agent at their West Haven branch, they are out of stock with that type of vehicle I ordered, in that case, they should provide me with an alternative, I told them I cannot go with smaller cars because the whole point of me renting the car is to be able to transport 5 people including luggage while we're traveling for our vacation. Since they made the mistake, (not sure anymore what the problem is, one person said it's because I'm not paying enough, the other one said it's because they are out of stock?) whatever the problem they think it is, they should compensate me somehow with alternative solutions instead of telling me there's nothing they can do!
