The Octopus's Garden

My Husband and I have been here twice, both times Valentines day. It was wonderful both times. The food was fantastic and the service both times was incredible. We will be back hopefully sooner than Valentines day.

The food was absolutely delicious. Many compliments to the chef. However the service has ALOT to be desired. It was terrible. The waitress did not approach us for a while than when she finally did, it was as if she never planned on comeing back... The same with all the other tables in the restaurant. You know the type that you are looking around for the hired help and so is everyone else around you. The tempurature of the restaurant is way too hot. People get naturally warm when eating but this was way before we began to eat. It felt like 80 degrees in there. It was a waste of the wine we brought because it was to hot to drink wine. We would never go back there & I would not recommend it either. It is a shame since the food was very enjoyable, to bad everything else can not compliment the kitchen.

Peter and Christine Russo own and manage a top notch restaurant. Consistently excellent seafood entrees, vegetable tempura and calamari are favorite appetizers, and delicious desserts [when we indulge]. A lovely dining room, spacious yet serene. Staff are friendly, and go out of their way to please customers. Always worth the half hour drive from LBI, even in summer traffic!Claire and Peter Baragona
