Would not enforce the court order. Would forget things that happend in prior sessions. Charge full hour for a 20 minute phone call. $600 for a letter to court that was just over 4 sentences. Allowed ex to abuse me in sessions. Ex and I finally agreed hes in it for the money and we found a new counselor that hess is involved with so the information and history is all there. He allowed my ex to alienate two of my children. Nice guy, good listener. But...just took to much money and to much time.

RANDY SEEMS TO BE A NICE & CARING GUY BUT UNFORTUNATELY HE SEEMS TO BE MORE CONCERNED WITH HIS FEE AND GOING TO HIS MILLION DOLLAR SHORE HOUSE, THAN PROVIDING ANY TYPE OF PROCESS DRIVEN THERAPY.

>HE IS DISORGANIZED & LAZY.
>HE DOES NOT TAKE LEGIBLE NOTES.
>HE IS FORGETFUL - WITH NO NOTES TO USE AS BACKUP
>SEEMS TO BE CHECKED OUT MENTALLY IN THERAPY
>HE DOES NOT HAVE A PLAN & GOAL FOR EACH SESSION.
>LATE FOR AN APPOINTMENT WHEN HIS OFFICE IS AT HIS HOUSE.
>DOES NOT FOLLOW RECOMMENDED & ESTABLISHED THERAPEUTIC TREATMENT PROTOCOLS
>ESPOUSES THE THE TEACHINGS OF PUBLISHED EXPERTS IN THE AREA OF FOCUS YET REFUSES TO IMPLEMENT THEM.
>COULDN'T PROVIDE A DIAGNOSIS OR PLAN OF ACTION AFTER 10 VISITS.

DUE TO A JOB LOSS, HOME LOSS AND COMPLETE FINANCIAL LOSS - HE REFUSED TO PROVIDE A SLIDING SCALE FEE. HE INSISTED ON HIS 190.00 FEE --- RIDICULOUS SINCE HE IS ONLY A SOCIAL WORKER.

HE IS WAY OUT OF TOUCH WITH CURRENT PRACTICE.

COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME & MONEY.

Anyone choosing to use Randy Hess as a counselor Beware. He made a family in crisis/divorce go from communication to complete shut down . I have not been able to speak to my children for 3 years since visiting him with them. He actually supported the alienation of not only me by my entire family... Grand parents, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins all on my side of the family have not been allowed to talk to my children, There was no physical abuse, my kids were never even spanked or touched in any physical way to harm. All there was was fighting between two parents where one parent decided to manipulate & fabricate hateful stories that were pure fantasy, yet very effective when manipulating children. Randy refused to listen to me and my family. It seems now my children are lost....
I cry every night before I go to sleep at night. Worst counselor ever.

Randy is straight to the point which is what is needed when you are in relationship turmoil. He tells you specifically what to do to evoke a response from the person that you are having trouble with - just straight out ask them if they see any future - scary but needed. And if they do not respond then he figures out a new plan of action. In the process that goes from sobbing because you are losing someone to realizing maybe there are issues that you need to deal with yourself - he is a good guy to talk to. Because when it comes down to it - we all have issues that hold us back from creating healthy relationships because we harbor baggage from previous ones.

Randy helped me through some very rough and challenging times with my parents, children and marriage. I couldn't have done it without him.

He was recommended to me by a friend and I have recommended him to others.

His fee is in line with all the other counselors I have looked into.
