Lake Junaluska is located in Waynesville, North Carolina in the heart of the Great Smokey Mountains. Downtown Waynesville is a trip back in time to 1950’s small town America with its Mast General Store, art galleries, quiet dinning, and frequent festivals. Lake Junaluska, located 15 miles West of Asheville, is a short distance from the famous Biltmore mansion, shopping, and historic downtown Ashville. A short drive through Maggie Valley, which offers golfing, skiing and the local fairgrounds, will bring you to the mountains. The Blue Ridge Parkway, located 7 miles away, offers breathtaking views of the Great Smokey Mountains, camping, hiking and the opportunity to see animals in their natural environment. Also nearby is horseback riding and white water canoeing.
