I used to LOVE this store. I'm not sure what happened but it's nearly impossible to find help, when you do, you're shrugged off or made to feel like a serious inconvenience. I'm so sad that this store has fallen in quality so fast. Also, why have a garden center if you're going to neglect it? The plants are in such poor shape this year due to some being over watered and some being completely ignored. I went there planning to spend a few hundred dollars on plants alone and left with an empty cart. Bummer. Just an all around disappointment.

Customer service has taken a noticable nose dive over this past year. This is the first store I've been too that an employee actually wouldn't help me because, as she said, it's to expensive. NEVER coming to this menards again

I have had the same experience in the past with this Menard and their mangers could definitely benefit with some training in the act of costumer service.

However the reason I decided to give 4 stars was not because of the crappy manger or even their crappy layout. Because sometime you get that one employee who there every day or so it seams and is always in a cheerful mood or so it seams. Some one who doesn't have the most glamorous job but seams to make do with a happy disposition. I applaud Menards for thinking out side of the box and hiring a seniors. I truly believe they have a lot to offer and serve us well in their golden years. I hope we see a lot more of them. I'm only sorry they don't get the respect they deserve from the vast majority of the community today. The Senior or respectfully "Older employee" is Lyn G.

Kudos for a good hire.

If it was possible to give this store less than one star I would. The customer service is non-existent. The store is laid out in no logical order. They can’t seem to decide if they want to be a hardware store or a toy store or a grocery store…and it doesn’t matter because they fail at all of them.

Nonsensical store layout and confusing merchandise aside, the absolute worst thing about this store is their store manager, Mike. He actually seems to enjoy providing crappy customer service. It is as though he is on a self proclaimed power trip and takes it out on poor unsuspecting customers. It saddens me to think that there is a grown man whose only sense of self-worth hinges on his ability to override a return. I can understand why he is so miserable, but it might be time for him to get out of the “customer service” business. He isn’t good at it. I can’t even imagine how unpleasant he must be to work for.

Of course, given Menards unethical business practices and discrimination issues, I guess it must be hard for them to find good help these days. I know I wouldn’t want to work for a company with such an awful reputation.

Take my advice and drive across the street to Home Depot. The staff is friendly, helpful and best of all, honest.
