Overall

Not very sanitary, staff not to reliable, the water slides not usually running after 5 pm and the pools and hot tub locked up not usable after 7 pm, (during the prime hours you would want to use them) so after dinner when you want to relax in the hot tub, you can not, rudely blowing a whistle yelling get out. Since they close everything down on you, and will charge you for everything, EVEN if you want to use YOUR OWN LAPTOP to check your emails. So in the end, i would have to say i was pretty disappointed. From the smell of the sink and shower water it is questionable if there recycling the sewage waste, as that is what the water smells like. It only cost about $300.00 for 3 nights in a camper, with would be aceptable if they would of been clean and functional, THE TV'S DON'T WORK, THE OVENS DON'T LIGHT, THE TOILETS HOLDING TANKS ARE FULL AND OVERFLOW ALL OVER THE FLOORS IN CAMPERS MEANING YOUR TRACKING WALKING THREW EVERYONE'S FICKLE MATTER URINE AND FICES AS THEY DO NOT SANITIZE THIS CONTAMINATED FILTH OR EVEN MOP IT UP, JUST LEFT FOR PEOPLE TO WALK IN. (((DISGUSTING)))) MAYBE THERE UNEDUCATED OF THE TYPES OF DISEASES THAT PEOPLE CAN GET FROM SUCH FILTH UNSANITARY CONDITIONS.

Overall
We camped here for quite a few...

We camped here for quite a few years, and just camped in July 2014. Will NOT be back. The seasonal and 'lot/condo owners' ruined the trip for us. The amount of golf cart traffic is ridiculous, and they are gas-powered carts too, that have ginormous speakers and subwoofers. They blare the music from their golf carts from early a.m. until after midnight. No such thing as quiet hours, not enforced at all if you are a seasonal or lot owner. One golf cart continuously parked on our site, blared the music from their giant speakers, and laughed at us when we asked if they could turn it down. They came back late at night and purposefully did it again, laughing at us 'non-seasonal campers'. The amount of drunk driving on the carts is just dangerous. Couldn't let our kids ride their bikes much. At night, they drive their carts drunk and with no lights, so that's a real treat if you walk around in the p.m. Their were men/women smoking right over the pool. Disgusting. Yet, some poor mom (again, not a seasonal camper) was told her daughter couldn't have arm floats. No swim noodles either. Well, if you are a non-seasonal. The place floods all of the time too, so know that if you book a trip, you have a 50/50 shot of your site not being available that trip, they don't have 'extra' sites either, it's just too bad so sad...you are allowed to rebook, but are then told they are filled up for the entire summer. Foul language is prolific. Many of the seasonal/lot owners do not seem to know any other word than "F---". So, if you love being around drunks who fly around in their carts, blare music all day/night, and hate day-to-day campers, making it a point to ruin your trip, then this is the place for you. The restaurant used to be good but is disgusting now. Only about 5 'meal' choices (although they post a menu that shows many more choices...but they don't actually offer those items, ever), which include burgers that taste like they nuked them from the freezer and dry/likely expired bread. We used to love this place, but never again. We don't feel like paying a ton of money (yes, they are far pricier than premium campgrounds) to put up with drunk drivers and risk having our children harmed. Like other reviewers said, IF YOU GO, get a spot along the pond or across from the pond on the river. Anything further down the river and it will likely be flooded and you are next to the dreaded seasonals/lot owners. Don't go as far down as 140-134...they will flood and the seasonals across from are rude. Our advice would be to try elsewhere...there are many other campgrounds that offer similar or better accommodations, activities, swimming, etc for a much better price. Pretty sure that is what the seasonal people want anyway, they seem to despise the 'public' day to day camping families. Don't bother complaining to the campground/security...nothing will be done, the seasonals/lot owners get away with whatever they want. We read more reviews since our experience and saw that others have complained of theft and vandalism...so I guess we were lucky! Sad when they charge you about $80/night and it's a successful trip if your children aren't run over by drunks and nothing was stolen.

BE VERY CAREFUL.....Looks can be deceiving! Watch out on the race track of golf carts.....everyone thinks this is race track....hello people they are no go carts!!! WATCH out for all the drinking everywhere including drunks driving golf carts! Security is there but ther are not equipped to deal with all the matters as the place is so big. My best suggestion is get the closest site to the pool/pond and you have less to worry about. I think it is hard for the owners to realize that now this campground is open to the public so they need to treat outsiders with respect too!
