That this is the florist to go to. Mother Virginia Flowers is a family owned and run florist that provides beautiful arrangements and designs for very affordable prices. They are very humble there and when I recently used them to send flowers to my niece celebrating her new baby, they sent the most beauitful arrangement, yummy chocolates and a beautiful balloon. I would recommend them to anyone.

Very polite and helpful over the phone and my delivery was on time and absolutely beautiful. All of the flowers I asked for were included, the colors were tremendous and the arrangement was larger than I expected for the price. I’m give Mother Virginia 5 stars!

Our son, stationed in Iraq, sent an arrangement for his mother's birthday. It turns out that "Mother Virginia Flowers" made and delivered the arrangement. Mother Virginia provided all the flowers and floral design for our fall wedding.

Bob Schaeffer was eager to meet and discuss our ideas and arrangement possibilities. He went above and beyond, to privide us a mock-up, lend us use of special tall glass vases for our aisle, and decorating our wedding arch at the last minute for us. The flowers and arrangements Mother Virginia provided were exquisite and beyond anything I imagined, and helped make our fall wedding perfect!

Mother Virginia is exactly what Washington has been lacking - it truly is a breath of fresh air! Bob Shaefer is by far the most creative and and talented florist I have ever worked with and every inch of the shop reflects it - when I first walked in I was transported to a world of pastels and sunshine something hard to find in Washington - it's a taste of San Francisco or Santa Fe right in our backyards. What a great concept not to mention the end products- wonderful artistic arrangements. These people are excellent! They are receptive to special work for special occasions such as an uncle's 100th birthday!



I found them in the yellow pages and live in North Carolina. They kept in touch with me and sent pictures of the arrangement when it was done.
