Mission Primary Care Clinic

I originally was not going to write about this individual but this should be reported. This Doctor: Joseph L Wilson, MD works within this group at Mission Primary Clinic and unfortunately I have encountered him twice. Once 2 years ago and now 5/2014 and each time he has been mean; nasty; unprofessional and rude towards me. I have friends of other colors that he treats gently as a new born babe but me a person of color...like dirt. He is clearly racist. I am a Decorated War Veteran and work as a Civilian Army Employee and the way that I feel is backed by other people of color; so this is not just me. This guy the first time I was in pain; would NOT help me but said "Go to the V.A.", and the second time said "Go to Emergency" He has always refused to help me and other people like me. I would highly recommend the someone investigate the inappropriate behavior, actions and callousness this physician has towards "certain" people in pain. I in reality give him ZERO stars because he has no bedside manner and has never EVER helped me only treated me like dirt and left me each time in pain. I asked him, "So, you won;t even give me a Tylenol?" and he walks off and says :nonchalantly "No," This was a work related injury and I could only deal with his office per their guidelines; only their group and my Doctor was off and Dr. Wilson knew that. He was on call. So he sends me away; in pain knowing I had no money for Emergency and my work would not pay for it.. I think he thinks it is funny to torture my kind of people. But I don't. I am seriously thinking of taking up legal action. This is the second time and shows a serious pattern of misbehavior that is cruel and senseless, So for those of you that are not the right color; I would suggest you see some of the other great physicians in the group. Those of you the right shade; I hear he's great. To me; he is rotten to the core. Xenophobe.

I have been going to Dr. Giffin for 25 years, and at times have had to see other Doctors there. They are all very caring, and Dr. Giffin has the very best bedside manner. They always try to explain what is wrong with you and even draw pictures to show you what is going on. They are very upbeat and this helps you when you are sick. Dr. Giffin delivered my daughters' first baby, a boy they named Bobby. He is gone from us now, 5 years in July. My Mother and Dad both went to him. He was their Dr. until they died, Mother at 94 and Dad at 101. My husband goes to him and neither of us would go anywhere else.



The officee staff is always so helpful and work hard to get you in when you are sick. The Nurses all show they care about you and make you at ease if you are worried.



Mission Primary Care has some of the best Doctors in Vicksburg, and I wouold not hesitate to refer anyone to them.(and have done so)
