Campos Tacos

I live in Venice and I love the other Campos places around the area.

I was pleased to hear that this one was now in Venice.

Unfortunately I have yet to try this locations food because that can't seem to stay open until 9pm, the posted closing time.

For the past two nights (Aug 5th & 6th) I've gone there to get food before 9pm, the neon OPEN sign blazing, and much to my dismay the employees were mopping and cleaning...we were told they were closed. The first time it was 8:45pm and the second time it was 8:40pm.

The saddest part is I asked for the phone number so I could try and get in touch with the owner to let him know and I was given the wrong phone number. The employee changed the last number from a 3 to a 4 when he gave it to me, no accident I'm sure.

The worker told me that they had to clean and I said, "I worked in the restaurant industry for over 10 years and you clean after you close."

His response was, "They don't pay us for that." Sad but probably true.

Anyway, I still don't know how the food is and I still haven't had the chance to track down the owner but I came across this in my endeavors and thought I would blog.
