Thin Film Center provides optical thin film software, training services and consulting for the coating industry. The company offers the Macleod series of software tools, written specifically for the design and analysis of optical coatings. The Macleod series has two components: the essential Macleod, which is a comprehensive program that provides capabilities from a wide range of performance calculations to simulation of coating deposition; and the concise Macleod, which is a compatible companion to the Essential Macleod intended for the occasional user. Thin Film Center also offers Macleod master-classes. These classes cover the entire field of optical coatings, including fundamental theory, advanced design synthesis, basic film microstructure and problems in manufacture. The company runs public courses in Europe and the United States twice annually. It has registered agents located worldwide, who are licensed to sell all Thin Film Center software products and accept registration for Macleod master-classes.
