I made my 1st appointment in 1999 after trying an at home color change. Brown to blonde. What a disaster. My hubby told me to call Siggers . I did and it was a miracle. No one shamed me. They went to work and gave me a look I love. J Decatur

Lifesaver!!!

Where to begin... Well, I guess with saying Siggers Hairdressers, Brittany in particular, saved me from walking around or being seen looking like a complete and total disaster. For my birthday, my parents decided to give me a gift card to well known hair salon close to home. I was stoked about this because I recently had a baby and I was looking forward to having a few hrs of being pampered AND getting a refreshed look all while my parents babysat my daughter (my husband was working). I went in for my 11am appt and spoke with my stylist for a good 40 mins PRIOR to her getting started. I went in with very long blonde hair- granted, as I stated earlier, I just had a baby so I hadn't had my hair done in quite some time so my roots definitely needed touching up. Not to mention, I used box dye on my hair so there were a few different shades of blonde throughout. SO- while consulting with the stylist, I said that I would like to either go platinum blonde OR like a strawberry blonde with blonde highlights around my face. Whatever would be easier AND which ever she was absolutely sure she could do. She talked me into going with the strawberry blonde because it would "look so good with my eyes and skin tone". Well- as soon as the dye went on my hair I started feeling a little uneasy considering it looked like orange paint but I still went with it trusting that she knew what she was doing. Let's just say that after being there for SIX HOURS and going through a countless number of tries "fixing" what was happening with my hair- I finally decided I had had enough and I left there with hair that was red at the root and an ashy fuchsia color throughout and a bleach blonde racing stripe in the front. Now, I've experimented with my hair previously, and my hair has been a variety of colors, but THIS was a first. The stylist asked me to come back the next day so she could try again to fix it. I left there with no intention of ever returning again. I, did, however, call Brittany. My life saver!!!! Now, mind you, this phone call was made at 5:30 on a Thursday night and she was scheduled off the next day. Also- she just had a baby as well not too long ago. After I explained what happened, she was more than willing to help! To be honest, I wasn't quite sure what she was going to be able to do to fix things but I was just thinking that anything would be better than what it currently looked like. She told me to meet her at the salon the next morning (on her day off). So, of course, I did, and I must say that I will never use anyone else ever again. Not only did she fix my hair disaster but she managed to make my hair look better than I could've hoped for! I absolutely LOVE the color and the cut! She didn't have to dye my hair numerous times like I had had done the day before. It really was a relatively quick process, considering. I was absolutely shocked that she was able to not only make me look presentable again, but I got what I wanted the previous day- to feel good about myself again! I, literally, feel like I can not say thank you enough to Brittany and Siggers Hairdressers for their expertise and their willingness to be there for their clients! I will be recommending them to everyone I know and I will personally only be visiting this salon in the future because of this amazing experience! Thank you guys so very much again!!!!

I am giving one star only because there are no minus stars available.

I went in last week and Carol Siggers did the cut. An delightful woman that took her time and listened to what I wanted. I was impressed with the how she did not cut a lot at once but in stages making me feel comfortable. The color was expensive but I like the way the highlights looked. After I left I realized the back was still too long and uneven. But my hair is thicker on one side then the other so I was not worried. I thought I would go back in today to have her cut the longer side. So I went back today. She is not there on Mondays but her husband John Siggers said he would cut it.

I showed him the same photo I had showed her and reminded him 5 times not to cut my hair where my ears showed saying the front was fine. When I sat in the chair he started whacking away. I say whacking away because it was half covering my ear on one side and barely touching the earlobe on the other. He cut app 4 inches from the sides. When I complained he told me that my hair looks like the photo (It was not even close). I reminded him I had said the photo was the layering I wanted in the back but I did not want the side cut or my ears to show. He walked away handing me over to someone to blow dry saying it would be fine dry. He spoke on the phone, talked to another stylist and even once went to the other room where I saw him eating and then he came back with his revolting breath and said "See it is fine". I tried to show him where my hair was uneven. I could clearly see it was uneven and all he kept saying was there is nothing wrong with the haircut. There is nothing wrong with the cut over and over. After a few minutes I was in tears. I got up and left. I leave on holiday in a few days with a choppy cut that makes me look like a man.

Once home the ruler proved what I could see with my eyes. It measures one and a half inches on one side at the bottom and 2 and a half on the other side. On the top one side is three and the other four. After measuring in several places you can see it is choppy all over where he held the hair at different angles to cut it. My hair flipped up under my ears when I went in and now it is barely covering the tops of them. It is uneven, very manly and a horrid mess.

He may have been good in the day but I believe Dementia has set in since he could not see what the ruler confirmed. It costs a small fortune to have your hair cut and colored there. I could have done better at a local barber for $25. I would suggest you stay away even if they are giving away their services.

Horrible!!!

I was extremely unimpressed with my entire experience. I paid $200 dollars and did not recieve a thing that I asked for. I specifically asked the girl to make my hair white blonde with no ashy tones due to the fact that my hair has natural ash. when she was done, I had light brown hair with gray blonde highlights. My next surprise was getting to the front to find out that I owed 200 dollars for a service that I was unhappy with. $200 for brown and gray foils!!!! Thats way overpriced period, ecspecially when you are not receiving top knotch work nor knowledgable stylists! the best part is still to come. I called back later to speak to the OWNER about what we could do to make the situation right and his reaction was atrocious. he basically told me that there was nothing he could do for me and that he was busy and needed to get back to what he was doing before I called him. no apology, no offering to fix the color!! I ended up having to go to another salon to get my hair fixed 2 days later and the lady there could only do so much to try and get the ash out, which ended up costing me another $100 for the new saoln to try to pull out the gray and make my hair blondish.what a nightmare! I have read bad reviews for this place on other sites too, I wish I would have trusted the other reviews i read and never gone to Siggers!

Don't Stand Behind their work

I assumed paying $140 for highlights would guarantee a good job and a good experience. I was not happy and walked out knowing I'd go somewhere else next time. The hair was too blond with no contrast to my own color and the place was like a puppy mill!!! Unfortunately, when that time came, I was told by another salon that I would require a "color correction" based on the work done at Siggers. When I called Siggers to let them know...I was willing to pay for the highlight service, but not extra for any color correction they might need to do...they would not stand behind their previous work... A big RIP OFF. Spend your money some where else!
