This review is for the cabins/cottages.

My husband and I stayed in one of the cottages at Timber Ridge for two evenings. We selected Timber Ridge based on their pet-friendly policy and trying to save money rather than staying at a hotel.

The positives:
The cottage was newer and we had good spacing. Cottages sleep 5 people and have their own kitchenette and shower. The park is gated and is very clean.

The cons:
-Temperature: The cottage lists "Electric Heat". It is about a 8" x 8" space heater for a 5 person cabin! We were freezing! If we moved the space heater too close, we were sweating. Our first night was very uncomfortable. This is supposed to be a 4-season cottage, but I would not recommend staying here when the temperature drops outside. I would not want to have all 5 people there sharing one little heater.

-Shower: The shower temperature does not stay warm long. You have enough time to quickly shave, wash, and scrub your face. You do not have time to wash your hair or brush your teeth. You also only have about 30 seconds from warm to cold. There is no "luke warm warning".

-Cable: This wasn't a big deal to us, but it is advertised as having cable. According to the front desk, "Not all cottages have the amenities listed". Well, I'm glad some of the amenities were.

Overall, the essentials that we needed weren't up to par. It looked good, but heat and shower temperature is a huge thing. We stayed in a hotel that was cheaper, pet friendly, and way more comfortable for our third night.

I'm sure this is great for RVs and tents, but for someone who is paying over $100 per night, go to a hotel. Don't try to go rustic, otherwise, you will be freezing and be very uncomfortable.

Overall
What a disappointment.

Why do you let people eat at the pool? #1 There is a state law that says you are not allowed to have food or drink around a public pool.......... #2 What about children or people with food allergys. my son is allergic to peanuts and the people sitting next to us at the pool brought in 8 peanut butter & jelly sandwiches. So we had to leave to pool area even though we paid for it too..... #3 Maybe having food at the pool is the reson why the black flim ring is around your pool, filthy. Bathrooms were dirty & no doors on the showers just a curtain so anyone could walk in. KOA"s are alot nicer... And to top it all off the the owner of the campground dog came back to our site & pissed all over our beach towels on the fence. But we have to keep our dogs on a leash, go figure. And the only sport you promote is dodgeball wow takes alot of brains to play that.
