I was not happy with the service that we got when we moved. We had ordered some mattress covers and they sent the wrong size and were still trying to charge us for them. It only took the guys an hour to move out of the first place, but took them 2 and a half hours to move into the other place. There was not much to be moved so it should not have taken that much time to move. The movers lied to us and told us that they had everything taken out of the truck sitting in the lobby to be moved but when we checked half of it was sitting on the truck. THERE WAS AN ELEVATOR AS WELL! No excuse for the guys being lazy. When I called after the fact to complain they wanted to know why it was not said while the drivers were there, WELL HELLO THEY WERE IN MY FACE! Seriously though who would talk about someone when they ARE RIGHT THERE! When I called I told them I wanted them to give me an hour back, well I had to call them 3, yes 3 times before I got someone on the phone, and then I got a letter saying that they would not give me anything back. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM AT ALL!!!!!!!!!

A. Allen Moving appreciates and values input from customers. When we don't succeed in meeting the needs and expectations of customers, we take it seriously and are disappointed to see the customer remains concerned with our attempts to resolve the concerns. Our records show our office and the customer spoke on the phone 7/10/09(day of the move)when the customer questioned the amount of the trip charge (allowance amount agreed to prior to service) and reported the mattress bags were the wrong size. The company deducted an accommodation amount and the amount of the mattress bag from the total charges the day of the move. Following the customer's phone call on 7/14/09, our office responded with a letter attempting to explain the company's position regarding the 7/14/09 report of dissatisfaction with the amount of time taken to complete the move. The company's letter states that the Moving documents show the customer signed the contract the day of the move verifying start time, end time, and signed a statement acknowledging all services were performed in good order. Additionally, the letter reminds the customer the estimated time for the job shown on the contract and agreed to prior to the loading is 4-6 hours. The move was completed in 4 hours. The company's letter includes a statement that numerous factors must be considered when addressing moving time and that lacking documentation or discussion while the move is going on can result in inconsistent reports, the possibility of miscommunications and speculation. Although the customer reports an elevator was available, the crew's interview revealed they did not have exclusive use of the elevator. A. Allen reviewed the available informtion and investigated the report and respectfully reported to the customer management's being unable to find sufficient documentation to justify increasing the amount of the accommodation. We apologize for any inconvenience on the part of our customer and appreciate the opportunity to respond to the customer's concerns.

Perfect Christmas shipment from Houston, TX to Jacksonville, FL. Our Christmas decor arrived in an exact time frame with the driver communicating the specific delivery schedule. The service and follow up was second to none. A. Allen Moving & Storage is a company I would recommend and utilize again in the future.

I had 12 items of furniture to move 600 miles. Each piece of furniture was wrapped. The paper work that makes sure everything gets off the truck was easy to comprehend.
The two gentlemen that moved the furniture were extremely nice and helpful. I would use this service even if I was moving the complete contents of my home.

My items were in great condition upon arrival from Houston to Emeryville, CA. The crew was excellent! Your guys were very experienced and very professional.
