We offer a comprehensive range of services for the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of adolescents with primary care needs and gynecologic disorders including Preventive health and guidance for teens and parents, menstrual problems, endocrine (hormonal) problems, ovarian cysts and masses, birth control, adolescent pregnancy-related problems, and STD treatments.
Family Practice
Dr. Warren is a board-certified family practice physician. She grew up in Valdosta, Georgia. Dr. Warren earned her medical degree in 2002 from The West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her family practice residency at Shands University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida and was an assistant faculty professor thru the department of Community Medicine. In 2008, Dr. Warren moved to Thomasville, Georgia.

Urinary Incontinence
There are two common types of urinary incontinence: stress incontinence (SUI) and urge incontinence (UUI) and it’s important to know the difference.
Immunizations
The CDC recommends routine vaccination with GARDASIL for girls ages 11 to 12 and for young women ages 13 through 26 who have not already been vaccinated. GARDASIL is the only human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine that helps protect against 4 types of HPV. In girls and young women ages 9 to 26, GARDASIL helps protect against 2 types of HPV that cause about 75% of cervical cancer cases, and 2 more types that cause 90% of genital warts cases. GARDASIL also helps protect girls and young women ages 9 to 26 against 70% of vaginal cancer cases and up to 50% of vulvar cancer cases. GARDASIL may not fully protect everyone, nor will it protect against diseases caused by other HPV types or against diseases not caused by HPV. GARDASIL does not prevent all types of cervical cancer, so it’s important for women to continue routine cervical cancer screenings. GARDASIL is given as 3 injections over 6 months.

Gynecology
The Shaw Program for Adolescent Primary Care and Gynecology provides expert medical care to girls with primary care and female reproductive system (gynecologic) needs.
Obstetrics
Dr. Justice was raised in Moultrie, GA. She completed her undergraduate degree at Agnes Scott College in Decatur, medical school studies at Mercer University School of Medicine in Macon and Mercer University Medical School OB/GYN residency program at Memorial University Medical Center in Savannah. While there, she received the OB/GYN Outstanding Resident Teaching Award for 2010, 2011 and 2012. And in 2013, was awarded the Outstanding Graduate Resident in Obstetrics award.

In addition to the natural drop in hormones that occurs after menopause, women may also experience a drop in estrogen during certain cancer treatments. Some treatments for prostate cancer reduce testosterone levels in men. Lowered hormone levels weaken bone.

Dr. Friedli is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He specializes in behavioral health issues including: teen and adult depression, bipolar disorders, attention/behavioral issues (ADD, ADHD), Autism, PTSD/Trauma, and Anxiety disorders.

Urgency urinary incontinence and overactive bladder is the urgent need to pass urine and the inability to get to a toilet in time. This occurs when nerve passages along the pathway from the bladder to the brain are damaged, causing a sudden bladder contraction that cannot be consciously inhibited. Stroke, dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, and multiple sclerosis (MS) can all cause urge incontinence. Urge Incontinence is a major symptom of “Urge Incontinence” overactive bladder (OAB).

Elizabeth has specialized training in the treatment of pregnancy-related mental health. She also provides counseling to Shaw patients with general mental health concerns including Depression and Anxiety, Panic Attacks, Medical and Health concerns including eating disorders, Grief and Loss including Pregnancy Loss, Work, and Career Issues, Stress Management and Insomnia, Parenting and Family Issues, Fertility, Pregnancy, Parenting Issues, and Perinatal Mood disorders including Postpartum Depression. Elizabeth’s therapeutic philosophy of treatment is both supportive and insight-oriented. Since insight without action is stagnation, expect to receive plenty of encouragement to keep moving forward!

Shaw’s on-site clinical therapist offers compassionate treatment to patients suffering from general mental health issues including depression, generalized anxiety, panic disorder, life stage transitions and post-traumatic stress. Elizabeth Nicholson, LCSW, also has specialized training in the treatment of pregnancy-related mental health from both the Postpartum Stress Center and Postpartum Support International. She provides counseling to OB clients with pregnancy and postpartum depression and anxiety, adjustment to early parenthood, traumatic birth experience, and pregnancy loss. Elizabeth is a Certified Grief Recovery Specialist through the Grief Recovery Outreach Program.

Dr. Friedli is originally from Texas and completed an MBA at Texas A&M in 1982. In 1992, he completed his medical degree from the University of Kentucky in Lexington, completed a residency and fellowship program in child and adolescent psychiatry in 1998.

Beth worked for over eight years with Archbold Medical Center in every aspect of dietetics; including inpatient, cardiopulmonary rehab, oncology, nursing home, dialysis, wound care, bariatric surgery program, and outpatient nutrition therapy. She developed a passion for the treatment and prevention of diabetes, and in 2007, earned the credentials of Certified Diabetes Educator.
