Hog Snappers Shack & Sushi

The seafood in this place is out of this world! Not many places carry hog snapper and it's my favorite fish. Try the pecan crusted hog snapper.

We just went with my husband to dinner here for the first time as it came highly recommended. The atmosphere inside made me feel in an island getaway. The appetizers, drinks, and sushi were delicious. All in all, I'm sure we'll make our way back some time to try it out again.

Burgers are just amazing, meat perfectly cooked and staff offer good service. They are just da... mouth watering. Love the tropical atmosphere of this place.

Horrible!!!

Just had dinner there and what a horrible experience. I started with the iceberg wedge salad, I couldn't eat it, it had this really sour taste that actually stung the inside of my mouth, my wife took a bite without me saying anything and asked me why it tasted like there was perfume in it. I sent it back and said what was wrong and that I couldn't eat. shortly after our entrees came, i ordered mine Medium Well and it came out Rare, sent it back and it came back to me Medium Rare, I already sent back the salad and my meal once, at this point I figured I would eat around the ends where it was cooked more and just deal with it. I asked for bill and she told me that she spoke to the chef and he was NOT going to take the salad off the bill. Ive been in the restaurant business for 25 yrs, eat out every week and this is the first time in my life that that has ever happened. So overall I would give this restaurant 0 stars and will tell everyone that I can to NEVER eat there again.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, but the food pretty good (been there several times). They have no respect for what their customers want. The last time I went (party of 8) we asked to push together 2 tables (in an almost empty restaurant) AND THEY REFUSED (no fire hazard or law, just their policy). I know... hard to believe. So we then told them we were 2 parties of 4 and sat down and pushed the tables closer, but not completely together. They would not allow this, we argued with the staff and even the manager a good 15 mins, then decided to go elsewhere. There are plently of restaurants with good food AND good service. Amazing that they rather have 8 customers walk out then to allow them it sit together.

If you want exceptional fresh seafood with a great atmosphere and quality service- then look no further than Hog Snapper's Shack and sushi bar. It's hard to find from the road because it's hidden in the strip center that houses the Block Buster Video on US 1 in Tequesta. But if you drive to the other end of the strip, you'll find it and be pleasantly surprised. I was so excited to finally find a place that serves fresh delicious sushi in Tequesta (they even have toro and uni on the menu);as well as wraps, salads, home-made soups and much much more! But the specialty- the namesake- Hog Snapper, was amazing! My husband ordered the crab crusted hog snapper which is served with mashed potatoes blended with big lobster chunks. It's served with asparagus spears and a delicious sauce. He wouldn't even share it with me! So tonight I'm going back so I can order my own! Anyway, if you are looking for a delicious restaurant that won't break the piggy bank, and still provides quality food in line with any 5 star restaurant I've ever eaten at- then do yourself a favor and check out Hog Snappers Shack and Sushi! It's A+ all the way around.
