The workers who did the fabrication and install did a great job and were friendly and respectful of my home. The job was done and all should have good but....

When I hired Southwest Granite for my project I gave Kevin a check for payment. A couple of days later he said he could do the job earlier if I gave him cash - which I did and reminded him to destroy the check he had (yes- I should have asked for it back but I am a trusting person).

On July 4th - almost a month after the job was complete I woke up to an overdraft alert on my checking account. The original check had been cashed. I immediately alerted Kevin who apologized. Apparently his accountant had inadvertently deposited the check.

It took some time to get a repayment check from Southwest Granite (Kevin) for repayment. It bounced. Kevin again apologized - had excuses and said he’d deposit a new check into my account and said that if for “some strange reason” it didn’t clear he would bring me cash (that was on 7/17) . Guess what - it too bounced.

Today is July 27th. I still do not have my money back. I just have a chain of text messages filled with unmet timelines and excuses.

Anyone reading this can imagine how furious I am. The lack of professionalism and lack of respect/consideration regarding the impact this has had on my family and finances ... Disgusting.

We are thrilled with our new home makeover, restoring cabinets, new flooring and new granite throughout. Kevin and his Southwest Granite crew were extremely professional and efficient, heads and shoulders above the other contractors that worked in our home. We highly recommend Southwest Granite for any home remodeling needs you have. They specialize in granite and it shows! They are in high demand because of the quality product and craftsmanship. You will not be disappointed, they will go above and beyond your expectations like they did with us!

My Advice is to Steer Clear of Southwest Granite and Go w/ a More Professional Contractor

SW doesn’t take credit cards (no buyer protection)

My wife & I had an unpleasant experience w/ SW

Kevin was bold enough to ask me to give a positive review after poor customer service

SW Granite never finished our job 100%. Some work they promised to complete but, after missing a sched’d appt & ignoring me for 2+ weeks, I assume they aren’t coming.

Glad I found Southwest Granite on YP! Kevin was so helpful and knowledgeable. Excited for my new granite kitchen countertop and matching granite nook tabletop!
