Provided by SuperpagesWe went to Kitcho last week and sat in the velvet lounge side. So relaxing and cool! I tried the calamari salad and then got the special killer roll. The presentation was beautiful and everything tasted fantastic! The bartender also waited on us and the service was great.

Provided by SuperpagesNot anything like the "buy one get one free" sushi places that have been popping up all over town. This is an established local place that has some of the freshest sushi and sashimi I've ever put in my mouth. As a bonus, they have a full menu with great salads, soup, and entrees, but I usually just stick to the sushi menu. Great atmosphere, especially in the Velvet Lounge.

Provided by SuperpagesI go here at least once a month and almost always get the sushi. It's so freaking fresh that I can't really deviate. Well, except for the fact that I usually get the edamame and calamari salad before the sushi arrives. And a good cab or pinot grigio. We usually sit in the bar or on the couches of the Velvet Lounge. It's more laid back, plus we love the bartenders. It's a great place to meet with friends and chill. Back to the sushi: there are a lot of sushi places that have popped up all over the place, so many, in fact, that I wouldn't be surprised if McDonald's started offering a McSushi on their menu. But keep in mind that Kitcho knows what they are doing. They use the freshest fish imaginable. Upgrade to the real wasabi (did you know that there's a difference?) and you are in for a real treat.

Provided by SuperpagesKitcho is the most unique sushi place in town. Unlike the trendy, cookie-cutter places that are popping up all over town, Kitcho is an established restaurant, using the freshest seafood, and as a cool alternative, has the Velvet Lounge off the bar where patrons can sit on couches in a casual atmosphere, minus the tables. The service is chill and laid back, yet attentive. Sushi and sashimi are prepared with care and presented beautifully. There is also an extensive menu for those who want to order stir fry, bento boxes, soup, salads, or appetizers. Kitcho also boasts a full bar, where people can sit and drink or order food. It's a great Tallahassee staple, in a good location, with ample parking. No complaints here.
