The Town of Surfside Beach is a seaside town in Horry County in South Carolina with a population of more than 4,500 residents. Its public works department works to provide safe streets, sidewalks, beaches, lakes, parks, recreation and civic activities along with sanitation services in order to preserve and enhance the quality of life of its communities. The Town of Surfside Beach has other full-time departments and volunteer committees, including health, finance, citizen services, fire and rescue, parks and recreation, planning and zoning, police and economic development. The township also offers a range of online services, including property tax search, electronic newsletter, voter information, job applications, alerts and notifications.
