- We are a boarding kennel that tries to make your pup or kitty feel as at home as possible. We do not use cages or hose out kennels, instead we give your dogs their own yard just like yours 3-4 times daily! We love and care for your pets as if they are our own. We have toys and bedding available if you do not bring your own and we care for your pet how you ask! I love JLHK. Giselle and I are just about inseparable so you can imagine my anguish when I have to leave her in someone else's care. I have used JLHK several times now and feel very comfortable leaving my prized friend in their hands. I would definitely know if "G" was hesitant or anxious to go in as she can be very excitable! She walks thru the gate and is relaxed and at ease. This tells me everything I need to know. It's still difficult to leave my friend but knowing she is in good, caring hands makes it a lot easier.
Our dog Mack loves to go stay at JLHK, that when I even mention we are going to see "Charlie and the dogs..." he jumps for joy! JLHK is clean, they clearly care for the dogs, and see to their every need. Mack jumps out of the car when we get there and waits patiently for Charlie to open the gate for him to go in. That tells me all I need to know about JLHK.
Not a very nice place. Kennels are across from each other so the dogs see each other and bark constantley which my dog has n't stopped doing since he came home. The dogs are housed in old garages and in an old run down house...I left him there against my bette judgement over a holiday weekend.My dog who is 5 and never has accidents came home smelling like urine and he had obviously had very soft stool and it was still stuck to him. Called 2 times to check on him and never got an answer or a call back. Will not use them again.

I am Alex Reading from Just Like Home Kennels and i would just like to say that this is obviously abuse of these comments, if you check this person account the only reviews they have ever done are one for JLHK and one for Cavalier Kennels... one is 5 star the other is one.. Also they were posted the SAME DAY and both mention a Holiday weekend.. Obviously just someone trying to trash our reputation, why dont you take a look at our other reviews.
charlie, kim and the gang are absolutly the best people to take care of your pets. their facility is perfect. they devote a lot of time and care here. my animals come out looking healthy and are happy every time we visit. the best place within mile to board your pets. thanks folks...

Charlie and company take care of the animals like they are their animals. I have been taking my dogs and cats to them for over ten years now and have never been disappointed the their care. They are wonderful people and they give exceptional care to my beloved animals.
