I am a new bride with a new home that could not wait to order furniture from Ethan Allen. Well what a mistake I made. The customer service is terrible. I spent $9000 on furniture for my living room and that only included one sofa two chairs ottomans and a side table.



The saleswoman promised when my furniture was in she would come to my home and set it up. She lied, never came back and when I called her she just kept trying to get me to come in and order blinds. She never called me back.



The recliner chair was delivered with a huge scratch and I had to wait months for a new one. All the while I wanted to show my home off and had this eye sore there. The company finally replaced it.



Then I had a issue with my sofa. The legs fell apart, the nail heads are crooked and the cushions and fabric are horrendous.



The company is blaming me for the legs breaking saying it is because I must have moved the couch incorrectly. That is not true, it was moved correctly by being lifted by two people and when it was lifted the legs cracked open and fell off in pieces. There was clearly some defect and the company won't replace the sofa. Now I am stuck with my sofa on the floor - no legs - during my first married thanksgiving - looking like crap.



In addition to the legs falling off and cracking vertically into pieces, the nail heads are crooked, the fabric on the sofa that the designer recommended is a lint collector and the cushion filling is horrendous.



I am beyond upset, I have to stick to my part of the deal by paying for 100% of this furniture but they did not provide me with a 100% quality product. I also can't tell you how many times I have had to stay home for deliveries, inspections and rede liveries and how much time I have wasted making calls to the company.



I much rather prefer pottery barn, I got my bedroom furniture there and a dresser was scratched and they shipped me a new one immediately without an inspection and removed the damaged one when they delivered the new dresser. Pottery barn believes in their customers and doesn't try to place blame and they stand behind their product unlike. Ethan Allen.
