Just Fur Pets

Me and my dog love this place! I've been taking my bouncy boxer, Charlie, to Just Fur Pets for the last two years for daycare. He is always very excited to go here and comes home happy and (best of all) WORN OUT. The employees are all very kind and obvious dog lovers themselves, especially Emily, she's the best! She posts videos and pictures of the dogs regularly to their Instagram so I can see Charlie running around and having a blast playing with his doggie friends. Their prices are the best in the area and they're very knowledgable about dog behavior, ensuring all dogs are safe and having a great time while in daycare.

They have a nice retail area as well with lots of treats, food and other goodies for doggies.
Cannot reccomend enough!

I would not recommend this place to anyone! Even if you are just buying an item there, do not support this place at all in any way.



I brought my puppy there for their puppy play date on Sundays and the lady in charge Kicked my dog out just because she was bigger then the other puppies.



Then when we left her there for 10 days while we were out of town, we called to check on her everyday. The first few days they said she was fine. Then all of a sudden they started saying she was loud and played to rough so wasn't allowed to come back again! I mean she is a 7 month old hound; she's a baby. Can they really not handle a medium sized puppy? What does that say about their staff and trainers?



Then when we picked her up, she looked like she lost weight. It looks like they weren't feeding her right or exercising her at all. And if that wasn't enough, we found scabs on her paws that looked untreated. We have no idea where they came from, and even if they are from bugs or other dogs, they still should have done something about it.



When we picked her up they reminded us that she wasn't allowed back and we told them not to worry, we are never coming back.



I just wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, and if I could I would give them negative stars I would.

I took my dog there for daycare and after 1/2 hour they called and asked me to pick him up. My husband took the day off from work to go get the dog. They charged us $18 even though they didn't keep the dog. When I called and questioned why it didn't work, they said the dog wanted to run too much. and tried to jump the fence. They had about 15 dogs in a 10x 10 area. They did have 2 10x10 areas, but there wasn't any place for the dogs to run and certainly not a place for a dog to go on their own to calm down if they wanted a break from other dogs. When I asked where do dogs run or take quiet time, I was told this wasn't a place for running it was for dogs who wanted to play only. When I questioned why we were charged the half a day fee even though they couldn't keep the dog, they said he was here for a total of an hour and a half by the time your husband came to pick him up. They didn't leave time for my husband to actually pick him up.

I used two coupons on a $170 order and saved $20. I'm really happy with 1.) the service and 2.) the staff.



I've been there about three different times for leaving my dogs when I went on vacation, and I've always had a good experience with them, and so have my dogs :)

AMAZING STAFF!



We have been taking our pup to day care and boarding at Just Fur Pets for several years. You will not find a more thoughtful and caring staff for your pet. Our dog jumps from excitement whenever he thinks he is going for a visit. It was the perfect place for him to go during the day when he was younger and couldn't make it the whole day alone. Now that he's older, we still take him a couple of days a week for play time to help with the excess energy. I never worry about the care he receives during day care or boarding.



We live a couple of miles from the store, and our dog is a runner. He gets away from us a couple of times a year, and runs full speed to Just Fur Pets. These moments are scarey, especially the last time he got loose was during hurricane Sandy, close to dark. We still can't figure out his route, and through the wind and rain, he made his way to the front door of the store....where they were waiting for him.



I would never consider any other place than Just Fur Pets to take care of Ditka:)

Read the first review about the prices, and the second review about the new management, so I gave them a try. The staff was extremely courteous, both to me and my pets, and very efficient and professional. The prices are very competitive, no complaints here. I'll definitely be back

Just Fur Pets is under new management as of June 2008 and you will find great groomers who care deeply about your pets and about their work. The groomers are certified and have over 10 years of combined experience with grooming cats and dogs. Our prices are very competitive. In addition to grooming, we offer doggie daycare, self-bathing stations, premium pet foods and supplies. Come visit us!

I wouldn't recommend this establishment b/c the job performed does not add up to the outrageous price you will find at the end. Also, I've been more than a handful of times and I've never had the same price twice. Apparently, the price is subjective and they don't notify you if they are going to charge you more.

I do like that they don't crate the animals and they will always send your pet home with a cute handkerchief around the neck. (though I don't think this quantifies for my pup having a haircut that costs the same as mine!)
