Overall

recently my daughter, whom is attending college in Springfield, had to leave her cat with her Dad, by the time we got back to pick the cat up he was in bad shape, when she arrived back here I was not sure if the cat would survive. I called around to all animal vets. finally took the cat to this place, the staff was awesome, friendly, concerned, got us in immediately, kept the cat , called us regularly for update, and as of today her cat is doing GREAT. I would recommend this place to anyone, prices are reasonable,Vets and staff are very dedicated, I would like to thank all at the Sunshine Hospital for the good work they did, they made our Christmas and New Year complete.

Never thought I would say this but to see her cat climbing the Christmas Tree has been an awarding experience.

Would recommend this clinic to anyone.

What great place! I found an injured baby bird in my backyard and I had to go on a wild goose chase to find a place that would help it. Every other place absolutely refused to take in a wild bird and offered little help to my situation. Sunshine Animal Hospital was very helpful and friendly to me and really took care of the little bird I brought in! Its one of the only places anywhere near Springfield that will actually rehabilitate wild birds and release them when they are healthy! I have great respect for this place because they care for ALL animals, not just the domestic ones. If you are looking for a place that seriously cares about animals and is willing to help no matter what the situation, this is the place.

This clinic has a great staff and doctors. Everyone is very friendly and really cares about all our pets. They always recognize us and have taken care of all our pets, keeping them healthy and happy. I would recommend this place to everyone who has a pet they love.

I feel so badly about this place - first let me say . . a great group of people there and wonderful doctors. But for some reason they are continually under construction and it makes the place look trashy. I was in there and some man was working in the reception area with a shop vac! and the poor little girl was trying to check people out and was tripping over the man, vac and extension cord! Also he was RUNNING it while clients and animals were there and that is just uncalled for! I really thinki they should fire whoever there construction people are and just get the work done. The care of my animals is wonderful; but the surroundings are miserable.

The best with exotics!

There are only a few vets in this area that work with exotics. The two at Sunshine are by far the BEST! They know the various species, and how to care for them and they do care. I don't know the experience of the other reviewer, but I'm guessing they have a dog or something. I live in Nixa and take my dogs to a vet in Nixa, but I would never take my ferret, guinea pig or any other exotic that comes into our home to any other vet in Springfield or Nixa. These ladies are just far more knowledgeable and helpful.

Not a good way to deal with Clients

I went there for a second opinion and i don't remeber her name but she was not a very good dr. I was in the room waiting for her and you can hear through the walls, and she was next door talking about her childeren, i was left waiting in the room for 10 min past my app. time. then not only was she slow, but it seemed like she was very demening to her staff. acting and speaking like it was their fault that she was behind when i could hear what was going on. that poor girl she was very nice (her assistant) in saying that she was sorry for the delay and she kept me informed but once the dr. got into the room she made me feel stupid and not to mention when my rat had cancer when she had just looked a his face and felt her body. she had some lumps that were not pretty, and i basically got the idea that the only thing i could do was let her die. The only good thing i can say about this clinic was that her assistant and the other girls up front were very nice and when i told them what she had said, they wre sympathic. but if you are planning on comming here go to the owner and have her take care of your pet. this happened about 11 months ago and i am hoping that the other dr. got her head on strait and realized that if she is talking then it is not her staffs problem that she is late and that she needs to keep her voice down cause clients in the room can hear everything you say.

A very loving place

I was a long time client of Dr. Franckas for a few years until my animal was diagonosied with heart faliure, Dr. F explained everything that would happen to her and what i should be looking for when it came time to let her go. Sugar lived for 9 more months before we eventually put her down, but that whole time i had so many questions that i was sure that i was getting on her nerves but she was always able to answer them with confidence, when i am ready for another animal, i will take her to Dr. Francka and the girls at Sunshine Animal Hospital.

This clinic is genuine.

I have hampsters and when my daughter stepped on hers she was so broken up that we had to take her in immediatly, the staff got us in a room quickly and Dr. Francka and Dr. Mainka were so good that when they were done examining her hampster, and they told her that Bitsey was going t be all right, my daughter started crying. Bitsey lived for another year before passing away. She was 4 years old. the compassion that the dr.s and staff had shown to us will always be in my mind. We are planning on bringing her new puppy,(christmas present) in as soon as she un wraps her and we get an app. set up.

EXCELLENT DR.'S AND STAFF

I had brought my animal in for some routine shots, and my dog is a pit bull. Sway was a little nervous but Dr. Francka and her staff treated her just like any other dog that would have come in to her clinic. She was very understanding of my concerns with Sway and was even awesome while examining her. She told me that everything looked good and just the respect she had shown her was beyond my belief. She and her staff are very loyal and Caring people. Even the receptionist asked how Sway did in the exam. I recommend this clinic to all my friends and others who ask.

Best Clinic and Staff in the world

I brought my 14 yr old golden lab into this clinic due to the fact that she had 2 HUGE spots under her neck that looked like golf balls, she underwent surgery bc Dr. Francka was really concerned about them, came out just fine from it, with her advise i had her staff submit the tumors for histology. when the test results came back as cancer of the lymph nodes, i lost it and Dr. Francka and her staff were really understanding about the whole ordeal and when i had to put her down, it was very calming. These people at this clinic are genuine people who truley care about their patients. I have had many pets and i think that both the dr.s treat their patients like they were their own. I would never go to another hospital again. for me its SUNSHINE ANIMAL HOSPITAL all the way.

What a friendly place

Over the years I have been to many vet clinics but this one had the friendliest employees and doctors I have ever seen. The front staff was cheerful and made over my dog like he was their own. The doctor was very professional and caring and explained everything clearly. What a great place to go.

I have brought my animals here...

I have brought my animals here for years and i love the way that the staff continue to refer to them as their animals. It is so comforting to know that when they have to go in for anything that the staff is going to take GREAT care of them. I never have any worries with them, i know that they are in GREAT hands.
