Dr. Daniel Dernick is a native of The Woodlands, attending McCullough and The Woodlands High School. Upon graduation, he was awarded academic honors in his undergraduate studies at the University of Texas at Austin, where he was also granted early acceptance into dental school. Dr. Dernick received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from The University of Texas Health Science Center in the Houston Medical Center in 2009. Before joining our team of dentists, he practiced for 12 years in the Memorial area of Houston and owned his own practice for 8 years. While there, he was awarded Best Cosmetic Dentist in Memorial and Best Family Dentist in Memorial two years in a row in 2019 and 2020 by Living Magazine readers. Heâ€™s also completed well over 500 hours of continuing education at the Academy of General Dentistry. He is also an active member of the American Dental Association and is certified in the administration of oral sedation. Dr. Dernick offers high-quality dentistry and has extensive experience in services such as cosmetics, family dentistry, implants, sedation, root canals, crowns, veneers, extractions, bone grafting, sleep apnea therapy, and much more.

Dr. Robert Dernick has always been interested in dentistry â€“ an interest fueled by a desire to serve others and an attitude of caring that began in early childhood and followed him through his pre-dental studies. Because of his commitment to excellence, he was able to obtain early acceptance to the University of Texas Dental Branch at Houston from which he received his DDS degree in 1979. But resting on his laurels is just not Dr. Dernickâ€™s style. Immediately after graduation, Dr. Dernick began attending postgraduate courses to keep himself and his office on the cutting edge of innovative dental techniques and technology, honing his skills in all aspects of dentistry including cosmetic dentistry. His team knows him as a perfectionist while his patients praise him for his artistry.

Dr. Vakil’s interest in dentistry was ignited during her undergraduate studies at the University of Miami. She worked in a family friend’s office where her passion for dentistry blossomed. Seeing what a profound effect dentistry could have in peopleâ€™s lives inspired her. After graduating with honors holding a Bachelor in Science, she went on to attend Boston Universityâ€™s Goldman School of Dental Medicine, earning her DMD with honors, and completed a residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry at Temple Universityâ€™s Kornberg School of Dentistry.
