Ascension Saint Thomas Highlands

I spent 3.5 days in Highlands St. Thomas Hospital in Dec. 2022 . I have never had better care anywhere. The nurses and doctors were competent and caring. An RN was at your bedside promptly, if needed.
The hospital was very clean, I had a private room and the food was excellent.

My father checked in on a Tues for a hip replacement... he left that Thurs in a Funeral Van... I think that says enough. Gonna let my lawyer do the rest of the families talking....

and the only reason there is one star marked is because they made me rate it and no stars wasnt an option.

I agree! Dr. Chet Gentry is a lousy doctor and take my advise, if you want to live find yourself another doctor. He's a fun guy to talk to around the water cooler but if you question him about any mistakes he made, he will cover his a** and write up your chart with false medical information. because of this, he has hurt many people in the white county hospital. Be careful if you want to live!

Please be very careful if you seek any medical care at the White County Hospital in Sparta Tn. Recently, a family member moved to Sparta Tn and went to that hospital for medical care after feeling ill. However, Dr. Chet Gentry and some of the staff have committed medical mal-practice. Dr. Chet Gentry has a serious hearing loss and must wear hearing aids in both ears. Sadly, Dr. Gentry can not hear very well even while he's wearing his hearing aids. As a result of this he has covered up his medical mistakes repeatedly while treating a female family member who met him for the first time and only spoke to him for about 40 min. total while in the White County Hospital in Sparta Tn. Dr. Gentry out- right lied in her medical records and even lied about her regarding her body parts. He falsified her record and claimed she had a hystorectomy and had no reproductive body parts. When in-fact, she informed him and Corey Williams RN, that she has her right ovary which is working and still in good health. In addition to that and other medical mistakes Dr. Chet Gentry made against this woman. Some of his staff "stalked" her after she was discharged from the White County Hospital. Believe it or not Dr. Gentry admits to this "stalking" event when he writes about it happening in the woman's medical record. He is so incompotent, that he tells of it happening in the third person. To quote him: " My staff told me that after discharge, the woman was seen walking out of the parking lot and off the hospital grounds heading towards the Discount Drug Store. Can you believe that? This is known as "stalking" and should have never showed up in a medical record. What the woman did after she was "Discharged from that hospital" as long as she was not breaking any laws, and in this case she was not, is of no concern of Dr. Gentry's or any White County Hospital staff member!

This Doctor is guilty of malpractice and took cheap shots at her because her other family member informed Dr. Gentry that the doctor had poorly trained the White County Ambulance crew (who were young and un-caring) and who showed up after a 911 call. The crew didn't even bother to bring medical equipment to the scene when infact, the call was about a person over the age of 54 who was having chest discomfort as well as a rapid and irregular heart rate! There's more facts to this concern which include medication errors among other things. A copy of the medical record has been secured and reviewed, and infact, provides the proof of this statement. Please be very careful when dealing with the staff and Dr. Chet Gentry of the White County Hospital in Sparta Tn.

One more thing, please note that the hospital has been sold many times and is owned by a group of private investors who go around the country buying up hospitals which are in trouble. The White County Hospital is listed on the New York Stock Exchange and depends on its share holders! Anyone wanting to file a class action law suit my contact me at: lang58@hotmail.com
