Robert Irwin Jewelers

After hearing Drake and Zeke's glowing recommendations about what fabulous business people Robert Irwin Jewelers were and viewing their website that says that gold buying is their "most popular" service I recently took in a ring with the intent to sell. The ring is a men's ring with 7 diamonds 1 ctw which appraised 30 years ago in Memphis for 4,500. Granted, there is no way the woman in the store would know why I wanted to sell the ring unless I told her. Perhaps I just wanted to get rid of it because my jewelry box was overflowing with precious gems or perhaps I needed to sell the ring to pay for a back surgery on my uninsured husband. The reason I was selling is not important anyway. Their website says they buy and I was looking to sell. I did not offer any information about the ring to the saleswoman in the store. She did not look at the diamonds but simply weighed the ring and told me she could give me $65.00 for it. I asked "what about the stones?" Her reply: "We are not a pawn shop." I felt humiliated. I would never do business with Robert Irwin Jewelers and even though I have never been in a pawn shop imagine the service would be more courteous than that at RI.
