General Info: DIEGO ROMERO D.D.S. Dentistry is in his DNA. Born in Venezuela to a family of 23 dentists and a father whose skill as a dental ceramist is internationally recognized. Upon graduation from high school in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts; Dr. Romero started his dental experience training in his father's dental studio and working in dental technology with the top ceramists in the Miami area. While earning his degree in dental medicine at the Universidad Central de Venezuela, he worked as a teaching assistant in the Department of Restorative Sciences and as professor in the Dental Technology Department. Upon receiving his dental degree he moved back to Boston, MA in pursuit to advance his knowledge in the profession and worked for Oral Design Boston, part of a world renowned organization in dental technology. A year later, he entered Boston University School of Dental Medicine to further his dental education. Dr. Romero finished a 39 month residency program in Prosthodontics, furthering his expertise in diagnostics, treatment planning, performing all types of fixed and removable complex aesthetic reconstructive and implant dentistry. During this time, he served as a Prosthodontics resident at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Bedford, MA. After completion of his post-doctoral specialty training and earning his Certificate of Advance Graduate Studies (C.A.G.S.) , he became a clinical assistant professor in both pre-doctoral and post-doctoral programs at Boston University while practicing in DotHouse health center, part of Boston Medical Center’s network. In december 2014, Dr. Romero moved to sunny south florida with his beautiful wife Mariana, an oral and maxillofacial surgeon. He joined private practice with Dr. Olin McKenzie in South Miami.
