Good Mexican Food

This was our first time to a Chevy's and the location overlooking the lake is really neat. Plus it is right opposite the Ski Run Blvd which helps. The service really stands out with everyone responsive and friendly. We ordered a vegetarian combo and it was fairly good, especially considering the price.

We had the pleasure of eating at Chevy's for the very first time in my life, my girlfriend wanted Mexican food and she wanted Chevy"s, and living in Incline Village I had 2 choices Reno or South Lake, we chose south lake for the drive. It was over the Holiday this year and being from the area I knew it was going to be busy but we went for it anyways. Upon arrival the place was packed , standing room only. When we were greeted we were told about 45 minute wait so we squeezed up to the bar which was nice considering from my thoughts but we were having our first cocktail and the Manager of the place < A really nice gentleman approached us to let us know our table was going to be a bit longer , he was vey professional in the way he conducted his business but friendly as well. Considering there were some very rude people around us.He was getting bombarded from all directions and this man kept his happy self in check and tried to deal with a group of people that were defiantly not hearing him. I SAID TO MY LADY FRIEND IF YOUR GOING TO GO OUT ON A BUSY HOLIDAY LIKE THIS THEN YOU COULD BE A BIT NICER FOR EVERYWHERE WILL BE BOOKED. In my eyes I believe they were out of line and it only takes one or two to start a chain reaction, Would I return to this Chevy"s, that's a big Yes only because the G.M. was so professional in his handlings of these tourists. Kudos to this man. This Man Mr. Brian Peterson is a good asset to your team and stood out among the rest, Good Job Sir. Thank you.

Great service and decent food, it did take a little bit for the food to come out but overall good experience.

This place was awful. The waitress was nice and very personable..but it takes more than niceness to run a restaurant. Our first drinks took about 20 minutes to get and it all got worse from there. We ordered a second drink before we even got our food. So it pretty much took more than an hour to get our food. And when we did get our food the fajitas were not good..the steak was dry and half our food was cold. When we were ready to leave it took the waitress about 20 minutes to bring us the check. We love Chevy's but just not this Chevy's...would definitely not recommend it.

Drove out of my way to eat here. The website says that they close at 10pm but at 8:30pm I was turned away at the door and told the kitchen was closed.

Super Fresh Food and great staff!

I love Chevys! This one is extra special because it's at the lake. This would be a great place to book weddings, parties, etc. Their Happy Hour is fantastic!! We love going to the bar here and we always celebrate birthdays and team parties here!!
